This Primrose Evening oil works well to lessen the hot flashes. I went off a lower dose of another brand that was 1000mg . And went on this at a higher dose 2000 mg and it’s working a lot better. I’ve been taking these for a little over a week and I do feel the severe hot flashes, profuse sweating, compressed chest feeling, heart racing, racing thoughts and panic that the prior symptoms trigger have all appreciably reduced. So far, so good.
Seems to be working, but… I read that EPO is great for skin and hair when applied directly with or without a carrier oil. So, I broke one gel capsule open, squeezed out the oil into my hand, gently put the oil over my just washed and moisturized face and wet hair. At first whiff of the oil, the smell was unpleasant but bearable, i hoped it would dissipate…..It didn’t!
The more of the oil from the same sole gel capsule I used, the smell got worse and worse. It’s a mix of bad b.o., garbage and vomit. Because it’s an oil, it seeped into my clothes, my towels, my livingroom chair and couch, on my sheets and blankets, it basically got on a lot of things and made my home reek of this stench. I’m now having to wash down several times these things that got the oil on them and that soaked into the fabric. It’s going to take multiple washings to get this stink out. I’ll never do that again! The most terrible thing about all of this is the EPO did make my skin look balanced and healthy and even radiant. It did seem to make my hair rather smoother and shinier too when i washed it out the next morning. However, the only way I’ll take the EPO moving forward is through its directed route. No more experimenting with it as a topical.
