Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid (building block of protein) in the body. The body can make enough glutamine for its regular needs. But during times of extreme stress (the kind you experience after heavy exercise or an injury), your body may need more glutamine than it can make.
L-Glutamine is also an essential nutrient for the cells lining the intestine, called enterocytes. These cells utilize L-Glutamine as their primary source of energy, which enables them to function optimally and maintain the integrity of the intestinal barrier. One study found that taking L-Glutamine for just three days helped to improve gut permeability in athletes after a bout of intense exercise. Another study found that taking L-Glutamine for four weeks helped to improve symptoms and reduce inflammation in individuals with IBS.
At $10 for 90 supplement this is a great deal for essential pre- and post workout amino acid, however it doesn’t state what country they are manufactured in. The bottle just states they are tested in USA.

In order to take what your supposed to take you need to take 10 if these. I mistakenly did not think about them when choosing these so next time I’d rather get the powder form but they work well

I have been taking this brand for other supplements for a while and I can attest it is a decent brand of supplements. They are sold at Walmart although I have not seen the L-Glutamine under their Horbaach brand, only their other brand Piping Rock, which I have used in the past. It is a standard gelatin capsule, 1000mg per serving and a serving is 2 capsules. This 90 day supply is on par with other supplements of the same strength but the price is a little lower. My supplements came packed well with all the tamper seals in place with a lot expiration of 06/2026. The capsules are relatively small, slightly smaller than your average 1 a day vitamin. For the price, and considering the good luck I have had with their other products, these supplements are working well so far. No adverse effects to note and a good way to promote healthy white blood cells and intestinal health. I personally take it for muscular recovery after workouts. It’s a great product at an even greater price. I would definitely recommend this for anyone on the fence about giving this brand a try.
