This lip balm is very moisturizing and has a nice subtle color that works for my skin tone. I also ordered the fruit punch and blood orange colors but they are not as nice. This color is my favorite. It is very natural looking and can also even be used to blend into the cheek area. It’s hard to find cleaner lip products these days so I like the honest company for their quality ingredients!

Plum drop is identical in color to Clinique’s Black Honey. It is better actually in ingredients, feel, and affordability. My lips are dark, so when I applied both Honest and Clinique versions they looked raisin brown, which I’m not into as I don’t want darker lips. I was hoping for a plum berry red though. You never know with tints how they will show up over your own unique lip coloration; it will be different on everyone. Thankfully I was able to return both products here on Amazon without a problem. This Honest Beauty product is still most definitely 5 star worthy! I’ve already ordered Blood Orange and Fruit Punch. Can’t wait to see how they’ll look on me 🙂

It’s compact and moisturizing, and the color matches me well.
I have tried countless lip balm/gloss/tint ranging from Chanel, Dior, YSL, and other Korean/Japanese products and my current favorite is this one.

I really like the lip balm, but what is disappointing is how much is left inside the tube. The tube is about 2 inches tall however, the bottom only screws up halfway, 1 inch, which means we’re only able to use about an inch of the lip balm and an entire inch is left inside the tube. In order to use this inch of lip balm that can’t be screwed up past the top of the tube is to scoop it out using something small to fit down inside the lip balm tube. I would think that the manufacturer could make it so this tube could to screw up a little bit further than half way instead of leaving an entire inch of lip balm inside the tube, possibly unused, or having to use some small scooper thing to get at it. Kinda hard to take a pic holding phone and tape measure steady but hopefully gives an idea of what I’m saying. In other words, the picture is misleading showing you that there are 2 inches of lip balm to be used but only 1 inch screws upwards, leaving another inch for you to throw away or using something to scoop out what’s left.

I loved the Plum tinted lip balm that I bought nearly a year ago, so when that ran out I ordered another one of the same shade. I was somewhat disappointed that the tint and texture were different. This new one is more like a gloss and the first one was more solid color and less glossy.
