This is 1200mg of red yeast rice. I like that there are no other ingredients or other combined supplements. You get 240 capsules and the serving size is 2 so this amounts to a generous 4 month supply. The capsules are somewhat long but I still found them easy to swallow. The bottle came sealed with both an inner and an outer seal. Overall I found this product to be of good quality.

As far as placebo supplements go, this is decent value given that it’s a 4-month supply assuming you’re taking 2 per day. The gelatin capsule makes it okay to swallow. There is no flavor.
Description and labeling are both deceptive. The capsule is made of gelatin, which is certainly not “veggie” (gelatin is made of animal protein). Furthermore, contrary to what other reviewers have said, this product may not be manufactured in “An FDA Regulated Facility”. Rather, it is manufactured FOR and distributed by “An FDA Regulated Facility”, whatever that means. Don’t fall for their little tricks using subtle technicalities. Be careful out there.

I chose this brand because it is made in the USA and manufactured per GMP standards.
For one person, the 240 capsule size is a 4-month supply. The bottle I received had an expiration date 9 months hence.
I am puzzled by the seller’s description of the capsules as “veggie”, when the ingredient list indicates that the capsules are gelatin – which is most definitely *not* vegetarian. While not an issue for me, I know it is for others.
This product has a very strong musky scent, which I have not found in other brands of red yeast rice that I have taken. I find the scent to be unpleasant. RYR is made from fermenting white rice with a fungus, and that’s what these smell like!

This red yeast rice supplement is made in the USA. It’s easy to swallow. It’s a part of my daily supplement intake. It should help with cholesterol levels. I’ll find out the next time I have bloodwork done.

I always take red yeast rice for cholesterol. These caught my attention because they are made in the USA. The pills are easy to swallow and for 240 capsules….it’s a great value! I’m not really clear about the veggie part. But I would recommend this product…..great product especially for the money!

I’m the wrong guy to ask how easy these pills are to swallow (I can’t swallow most pills), so I provided a couple of pictures comparing the size next to some coins. With these pills being capsules, I simply open the capsules up and sprinkle the red yeast rice powder into some yogurt and consume it that way.
As for accessing the quality of ingredients used, the only way other than lab analysis, is to rely on the taste test of the powder and compare it to previous experiences with Red Yeast Rice. To me, it just tastes like Red Yeast Power (it’s not particularly tasty on it’s own, but in yogurt I can barely tell it’s there).
It’s manufactured at an FDA regulated facility in the USA, so that gains some trust from me. I haven’t experienced any negative effects from consuming the pills. You get 240 capsules for $19.99 USD, which to me is excellent value (doubly so since I only take 1 a day).

I ordered this product based on the “Veggie Capsule” description and assuming that they were vegetarian. The packaging does not indicate that the product is vegetarian though. The ingredient list shows capsule as gelatin, which would be made from boiling animal bones & ligaments and not be vegetarian. There are some gelatin equivalents made from seaweed, but I’ve almost always seen that specifically noted as veggie capsules or agar-agar. If the capsules were truly vegetarian, I’d expect that to be on the manufacturer label somewhere, so it seems more likely that the description is inaccurate. I unfortunately tried one does before noticing that, but am trashing the rest of the bottle.

I took these for the first time a few days ago and they are easy to swallow. I didn’t pick up any scent or odor while taking them, and they left no aftertaste. I’m looking forward to taking these frequently and reporting back the results. The container holds a generous amount of doses.
