I work in a school and live in a zone with a lot of allergens, so I’m always sniffling, with postnasal drip trying to settle in my lungs despite allergy meds. I have frequent coughs due to the above-mentioned, and also due to catching all kinds of things from the kiddos I work with. Bronchitis and pneumonia are not strangers to me. It is important to not allow stuff to settle in one’s lungs so I have a whole kitchen cabinet full of over the counter and natural remedies from claritin to flonase to mullien to mucinex to oscillococinum to sinusalia (and many many others) and I use them faithfully. I bought lobelia because I read in multiple places how great it is for lung ailments and put it in my cabinet, where I promptly forgot all about it.
I saw this tincture in the back of my kitchen-turned-medicine cabinet after a 6-month case of persistent on and off bronchitis, and decided to give it a try (I know, I should’ve thought of it sooner)! And let me tell you, within 30 minutes of taking 20 drops in my coffee, everything cleared! My constantly-dripping sinuses and my lungs are clear!!! It’s been a week and I’m still clear and it’s glorious!
I took 20 drops (as suggested on the label) in liquid 3 times on the 1st day, 2 times on the second, and have been taking it once a day after that. Will taper off to 10 drops for a week and then stop to see how that works. If I start getting congested again, I will restart.
Nothing else I had done (literally dozens of other remedies) has done what this Herb Farm lobelia has done. This is as clear as a set of lungs and sinuses can get. I appreciate having this herb and being able to use it. The price is great ( over 2-months’ supply if you take it once a day), and I also like that they distill their tincture in a natural way.
Give it a try, it may be the one thing that would solve your problem.

I received this with the rubber top deliberately cut with scissors. Fortunately nothing spilled from this container however I don’t have a channel to report this to. What a petty thing to do about having a job.

I’ve been using this occasionally for about six months. I absolutely notice my airways open up, but for me it’s short term so inhalers are still needed. I was nervous originally because of the “risks” involved with lobelia, but I can say I haven’t experienced anything negative and I have slowly increased to the highest possible dose. It also seems to help me calm down, which I thought was a strange side effect. And regarding the taste, I put this in coffee and it honestly just tastes like I spiked my drink, plus the caffeine helps give it a boost.

Based on my experiences with various brands of Lobelia extract I would say this is by far the most potent and therefore the most effective of them all. Use it carefully – it is potent enough that you WILL throw up hard if you overdo it!! Yes it contains alcohol but not enough to have any effect. Yes it tastes harsh but seriously folks, this is medicine – it’s not supposed to taste like delicious candy! Highly recommended for all your Lobelia needs 😉

I have not bought this from Amazon because I was struggling so much with asthma that I needed relief immediately. After having used QVAR twice a day, Albuterol inhaler and having to do nebulizer treatments daily and getting little relief, I went to the local health food store and bought this. For me, it works almost instantly. Every single time I use it, it has brought quick relief. I’m still using QVAR, however, I no longer take the Albuterol. I will be buying from Amazon since it’s cheaper than what I paid.
UPDATE: I just bought this again only this time from Amazon. I no longer need the QVAR or Albuterol at all. For me, this works better than Albuterol.

Lobelia in this product is a standard extract -and an excellent preparation (NOT FOR USE DURING PREGNANCY) – I like Herb Pharm extracts as they are dependably uniform and this is not true of all of the extract products available. I use this mostly externally, because I take internal capsules of formulas (Dr. Christopher Complete Tissue & Bone) which also contain Lobelia for skeletal maintenance, but as a weekly regime, because of my age and the physical labor I do daily, I do use this in tea (a few drops daily) along with Ruta Graveolens – another Herb Pharm extract. These have relieved for me lung issues, nerve and other pain issues, bronchitis is totally gone, foot cramps at night are gone, injuries treated externally with drops of lobelia fade away, and my neighbors MIGRAINES are gone from using it as well.
Named after noted French botanist Mattias del Lobel, Lobelia has anti-spasmodic, anti-asthmatic and expectorant properties. It works both as a stimulant and relaxant on the nerves. When used with other herbs in small doses, it works as a stimulant (2). When used in larger doses, it works as a relaxant.
Its main ingredients are isolobelanine and lobeline.

Truly an amazing product. My wife was struggling with lung capacity having developed allergic asthma over the past five years. She is a very active person and found the limitations frustrating to say the least. I bought her a bottle and asked her to give it a try. She said the first dose she didn’t add enough water and it burned going down and kind of spooked her. She said she was more careful with the next dose and said she was amazed at the near immediate results. She has gone off her albuterol inhaler. She also now only uses her other inhaler infrequently. This is amazing! She is now on her second bottle and is sold on it’s benefits. Her O2 saturation went from 94 to 96 percent on average before this supplement to a solid 99 percent. Again, this is an amazing product. I hope it continues to provide her with consistent relief. She is back to her active self.
