I recently tried out the HEMPZ Hypoallergenic Natural Bronzer – Herbal Moisturizing Self Tanning Lotion in hopes of achieving a darker tan without the worry of irritation. While it did deliver on the promise of a deeper tan after the first use, my experience took a nosedive from there.
Initially, I was impressed by the noticeable bronzing effect, which gave my skin a natural-looking glow without streaks. However, after just the second application, I began to notice some concerning issues. My arms and legs, where I had applied the lotion, started to break out. This unexpected reaction was disappointing, especially considering the product is marketed as hypoallergenic.
Another downside is the overpowering scent. The lotion has a heavily perfumed fragrance that lingers long after application. Unfortunately, it’s a scent I personally find unpleasant, and coupled with sensitive skin, it’s a recipe for discomfort.
