I’ve always been mad that the name brand Mucinex costs so much. And this doesn’t seem to be extended release, but for the amount, I’m not complaining. I’ve needed cough relief, and mucus relief, but name brand is a small amount for a painful price. I’d rather get this, it works the same.

A few brands of dextromethorphan and guaifenesin contain sodium lauryl sulfate (sodium lauryl sulfonate). This is also the active ingredient in laundry detergent capsules (pods)!! I don’t want the pod challenge!
This product does not contain the laundry detergent. I realize that the FDA approved including laundry detergent in tablets to swallow, but many people have troublesome reactions to it. This is why there is a huge assortment of toothpastes that contain no sodium lauryl sulfate (“SLS”), available at much higher cost than standard ordinary toothpastes.
This product works for me. I admit that the laundry detergent containing tablets also work for me, but I still want to avoid them.

The Health A2Z Mucus Relief product may not have the best taste but it is a great value and product for the $$. Sometimes I get that mucus tickle in my throat and after a couple of these pills the mucus disappears and provides great relief. My only complaint is the bitter taste so take it quickly and don’t let it linger on your tongue…unless you like that kinda of thing. The other complaint take every 4 hours which I extend to about 6 hours. It only takes a day to clear me up. Will always try and have the Health A2Z Mucus relief on hand in my sash. Highly recommend!
