Does not work for me at all. Hurry and swallow it but one pill does not make me go to sleep. It makes me a little tired but not sleepy and two pills still do not work. I cannot tell you the dose because I am a small person and it does not work. If one does not work then I dunno a dose but it tastes horrible and that is fact. Hurry and swallow it. Maybe it will work for you. Do not work for me.

Doxylamine Succinate turns out to be an effect sleep aid without the side effects of off-label aids like Diphenhydramine (benadryl), “drowsiness” is actually listed as a side effect of Diphenhydramine , which is why some people take it as a sleep aid.
I find it effective, although it does take some time to take effect (if I need it, I take it early, read for an hour or so, and fall asleep); once it does I find I sleep well. One half a tablet seems to be enough for me.
This brand seems just as effective as some of the pricier ones, but somewhat less expensive.
They all have a somewhat bitter taste, but I pop it in my mouth and wash it down with water. No problem.
BTW, some brands are scored to make it easier to break in half; but I find I can snap these easily even without the score or a pill cutter.

Reading that Diphenhydramine is linked to potential Alshiemers, I was looking for alternatives. These are 25mg instead of 50mg for the gel pills I get and they seem to be almost as strong but with a lighter feel, still just as effective to get me to sleep. As others have said, I don’t feel as groggy in the morning with these.

First, let me say, Ive tried just about everything from warm milk to Melatonin to try and get some good sleep. Nothing has really worked until I found Doxylamine. This really works. I just take one pill about an hour before bedtime, and Im able to lay down, fall so sleep fairly quickly, and sleep for hours at a time, getting the rest I need to function in the morning. You can get up and go about your day without feeling like you have medicine head, or that you’re walking through jello all morning like benadryl can make you feel. I have never slept better. Try it. This is the best price that Ive found. You only need one each night, so one bottle will last for 200 days. Not bad.
