I always have lysine in stock at home. These come in gel capsules which make it easier to swallow because if you’re familiar with lysine, you’ll know the pills are incredibly large. It’s still a large pill as expected but the gel coating helps it slide down your throat. Each pill is 500mg each. So far no bad reactions to it and seems effective. Expiration date was about 1 year 4 months from when I received it.

I take lysine to help prevent and treat old sores. Do not take all the time but in times of stress or extreme weather, I find it helps. No after taste, easy to swallow.

So far so good. These capsules seem legit although I couldn’t find too much about the company except their website and social media. No accreditations or certificates anywhere. There is no documentation about the facility except that it is GMP compliant (which is just printed on the bottle). So, if these are truly vegan compliant or all natural, you kind of just have to take their word for it. There is contact info to the distributor and the website is legitimate. ALL THAT BEING SAID….
These seem just fine! I always have to be a skeptic with supplements but I haven’t experienced any ill side effects and feel fine. I used to take a few of these from a different brand for lip health when I felt a cold sore coming in and I switched to this brand and haven’t really noticed any difference so I would assume these are just as good! Lysine itself has claimed to help immune health and skin health so it’s never bad to take a little. I don’t take it everyday but it’s nice to know these are all natural…hopefully! These are priced around $20 for 90 capsules and you have to take 2 a dose. There are similar products that are priced significantly lower but also some that are priced at the same price point. So, as far as value, that would be up to you!

When I ordered these, I didn’t realize they contain MCT oil which is usually sourced from coconuts, which I do not consume. Otherwise, the pills are fine. Need to be taken on an empty stomach.,

Over the years I have recommended L-Lysine to many people that are prone to cold sores, which it is excellent for. My other half swears by it because it definitely shortens the duration! And it is one of those amino acids that your body uses what it needs then eliminates the excess, making it safe to take at a higher dose (short term!) to kick-start the healing. Now research find it aids so much more than cold sores! And since our body does not produce it naturally, why not take it, right? It is now part of my daily routine and I feel good knowing I am supplementing with something my body needs and I look forward to the benefits!
This comes in a normal size capsule and is very easy to swallow with a gulp of water. I have great difficulty swallowing this same size in a hard pill so I really appreciate the capsule form. If I have any negatives arise over time I will update my review but for now it’s two thumbs up!
