It helps my puffy eyes look better, and best of all, it doesn’t drip into my eye!

The Hanalei beauty line bills itself as “island-powered beauty” and was founded by New Yorkers who fell in love with Hawaii and made it their home and now, apparently, their business. Perhaps knowing how that sounds a bit like appropriation, they also talk about giving back to native Hawaiians and support the AKAMI Foundation.
I’m not a daily eye cream user, tending to dabble with it when I’m feeling extra dry, or notice dark circles or puffiness. This product identifies its Hawaiian ingredients as Kukui Nut Oil, Spirulina extract (that’s the seaweed) and Coffee Berry Fruit extract (that’s the caffeine). It’s got a coffee scent that isn’t a bad wake up call, but worth knowing about if you prefer your skincare products scent-free.
It’s got a thick, creamy, midway to balm texture, so dab application is essential, but it absorbs well and didn’t feel heavy or mask-like, as some eye creams do. It also boosts about “light-reflecting minerals that blur imperfections,” and did have a bit of a makeup primer feel. A little goes a long way, making the cost relatively reasonable when talking about eye creams. Honestly, as eye creams go, I really liked it overall.

When I opened the cute box, pronounced scent of coconut oil, like in the sun tanning lotions, hit me. It’s even not natural, I don’t know what they do create it. I decided to try it anyway hoping that the scent will go away. Well, it didn’t. After about 2 hours my eyes started burning and felt tired like if I didn’t sleep all night.
I washed my eyes with soap and water and put my other eye cream on.
Now, they have Velamo Caffeine Eye Cream back in stock, I liked it, gave it great review. Will buy it again.

LOVE THIS PRODUCT! Super creamy and moisturizing, and smells so yummy (like coffee). This is going to be my main eye cream from now on.
I do not use makeup except for the occasional eye liner, and even rarer eye shadow, so take my opinion with a grain of salt: When I used this product, eye shadow, gel eye liner and a setting spray, nothing moved for 12+ despite the running around and sweating I did.
