This particular roll is the strongest of all the cough drops I could find
When I have a sore throat I need a strong cough drop
For years I thought they were all the same but no this one has the highest content of menthol to ease your throat
I had to search hard to find it.
The rolls seem to be cheaper than the bags with the individual wrapped drops

So I randomly stumbled upon these when covid first hit the states while looking for some altoids. I read the label, (back then they had a strength meter on the bag) and it said “extra strength”. And I thought I’d give them a try. There are by far my favorite ones. HANDS DOWN! They are absolutely strongest of all the halls I’ve ever had and i love it! Not to say that the others aren’t good or worth it. But these will take your halls experience to a whole new level.. Lol. They are great in tea if the need to decongest if they’re too strong by themselves. I like to add the sweetener, the halls, then the water when its ready. By the time the tea is done steeping you’ll have one of the best sick teas you’ve ever had thats not a hot toddy. Unfortunately I dont think they sell them in stores anymore. And if they do, they’re extremely hard to find. So when I saw these, I immediately ordered some. And they did not disappoint! Theyre still as strong as I remember. Also, If you’re a vocalist of any type, I highly recommend these. They work woders with the lemon and honey.

This is the 2nd time I’ve purchased this product. The first had English writing and was exactly what I expected. The 2nd purchase was not from the US. Do not open and return the product if the product has a foreign language written on the package. The menthol is not as strong and has a different sweet candy taste. This foreign product is NOT as effective as the US product.

Without a doubt it’s definitely stronger, more effective as a decongestant than the loosely packed, watered-down version obtainable at local brick and mortar stores. This was the only form Halls used to be before the adultration. I will buy it again, at a reduced price.
AN UPDATE TO MY PRIOR REVIEW
What I wrote in my earlier comment regarding the effectiveness of the cough drops as a soothing decongestant still stands. However, it was only last July, barely two months ago that I purchased it at a price just under $20. Today it is priced at $27. That is unconscionable! That represents a 33% increase in the price in just two months.
Earlier when this ongoing price hike bonanza began in 2020-2021, it was blamed on “supply chain” bottleneck created by the pandemic. The pandemic is behind us now and the supply chain issues have long become a thing of the past. So what exactly is the justification for slapping a 33% price hike on something as mundane as HALLS cough drops? It’s patently not fair what consumers are subjected to.

It’s sad Halls cherry and other flavors were weakened. Ludens makes weak cough drops. Halls other flavors are weak like Ludens….
