This nail file is easy to use and the battery seems to last a long while. The product itself arrived quickly and the quality is very good. It’s easy to hold and seems to be relatively safe when used on our newborn. The only reason I’m not giving a 5 star is because the file seems to be going a little too fast making it hard to file the nails off evenly. It seems to chip at the nail and you have to continue filing to get them even.

Trimming my sons nails can be such a challenge and I love this electric file. It has many different grits for different age ranges and the settings are so gentle and quiet. It even has a light so you can see when you’re trimming babies nails. It has made it so easy for me, especially since my son’s nails grow so quickly! Another great part of this kit is the additional metal file pads for adults! I can use one tool for both my son and myself. I’ve had this product for a few months and use it almost daily and havent yet had to change the battery.
I know there are many other electric nail trimmers on the market and this might not necessarily be the best one, but I do love the Haakaa brand. I find that their products really hold up

This is our first baby and we are aware that babies fingernails are not easy to clip. We have seen videos that they accidentally cut the skin using clippers. Thus, we decided to purchase a nail filer. This nail filer is user friendly my husband does not have difficulty in maneuvering this product. It has a subtle sound which is perfect for your sleeping LO. Good quality and performance. And great value for money. We like it that it can be used by adults too..

My toddler would not allow me to do his nails, until this! It is so quiet and gentle to use! The multiple tips allow you to increase the intensity as needed. The carrying case is really nice. The light on it is maybe a bit dim, but it works well enough.

As a second time mom – I wish this was a thing when I had my first, 10 yrs ago! Way easier than clippers!! Makes virtually no noise at all. My baby slept right through me filing their nails down with this tool. There are other brands selling this exact same product for about the same price but I personally have fallen in love with Haakaa and their products this go around. So I chose this one knowing I’ve had a good experience so far with this brand. Comes in a portable case too – love that for us.

Pros:
-So much easier and faster than filing or clipping my one month olds nails
-Color coded files for each age range and a nice case to store them in
-A light so you can see!
-Not expensive!
Cons:
-The files aren’t really good for older kids/adult nails. The 12 month+ file works okay for my 3 year old, but the adult file couldn’t even make a dent in my 5 year olds nails.
-The light only helps at certain angles because it can’t shine around the file disc.
-Sometimes it is really hard to switch out the files-they can get stuck in the trimmer.
Overall I’m really happy with it for my baby, but I’m not sure how long it’s going to actually be useful for as their nails get thicker.
