Quality and use is always top-notch. The quality of this product is always good and I have never had issues. Let’s get it straight, no it does not taste pleasant. It will not taste like a grapefruit because it is made from the seeds. The seeds of any fruit is bitter and not good tasting. I have used this product in a house full of individuals with the flu And have not become sick. Keep in mind I was taking this on a daily basis before everyone was sick and continued to take it as well. I have a weakened immune system due to respiratory problems and this has helped me quite well being around others that were not. I have also use this as a spray to clean vegetables as well as soak any of those meats that I am going to cook.
Persona non grata –
Growing in 5 gal dwc buckets and green and brown algae started in and very quickly got out of control. Ordered the GSE it was delivered quickly like in 4 days, immediately put in the proper amount, it foamed up and looked all nasty and brown, but it didn’t foam that much to overflow of the bucket.
It totally killed all algae in like 2 days, at 3 days saw new roots growing. After that the old roots got all slimy and rotting looking, but within a few days they dissolved away and all I had left was a crapload of new roots, they are brownish but that’s cause of the brown color of the GSE.
Used 2 teaspoons total, in 5 gallon bucket filled to 4 gallons of water, so in total 2 teaspoon for 4 gallons. If you do your research on forums it will tell you to use 1 teaspoon per gallon but I only used 1/2 teaspoon per gallon and that was probably more than enough.
So overall GSE will KILL and CURE root rot in DWC and most likely any type of hydroponic systems.
BTW, I also had algae and root rot in another 5 gal bucket and on that one I used HYDROGUARD, it also killed the algae and cured the roots, these roots using Hydroguard are the whitest most crispest freshest looking roots I had ever seen.
So both GSE and Hydroguard will kill and cure root rot and promote super root growth.

Properties
There is evidence that the extract of citrus grapefruit seed has antioxidant properties.[25][26] Analysis shows the constituents of the seed extract and pulp are flavonoids,[27][28] ascorbic acid (commonly known as vitamin C[29][30][31]), tocopherols, citric acid,[25] limonoids,[32][33][34] sterols, and minerals.[35] A study suggests the consumption of the bioactive compounds found in grapefruit seed and pulp may help suppress the development of colon cancer.[36] Another study showed the flavonoid naringin is an excellent plasma lipid lowering and plasma antioxidant active elevating flavonone.[37]

These cited facts float like krill, deep within a sea of Party Line “This Stuff is No Good!” agit-prop. But that’s Wiki…
Fact: http://www.greenmedinfo.com/article/grapefruit-seed-extract-has-antifungal-activity points to the abstract of a study that strongly corroborates personal experience. One might also wish to visit http://goodgopher.com/SearchResults.asp?query=Grapefruit+Seed+Extract&pr=GG for plenteous additional Google-suppressed information on this supplement’s spectrum of uses.
Opinion: One might do far worse than to bookmark and use goodgopher rather than Googling for any and all Alternative Health research and usage facts, BTW. It’s the Good Gopher’s specialty, y’see. A general search of the http://greenmedinfo site will doubtless prove clinically illuminating as well, fwiw. 😉
Background: Atypical case, but that’s not my problem any more. After fifty years of arachnoid+insect+bacterial+yeast infection spreading all throughout my bodily tissues (the result of a a truly crude Gummint Bioweapon Experiment Gone Wild, truth be told) and the attendant lifelong medical refusal of appropriate care, forcible diversion into unrelated “therapies”(sic) and similar disappointing experiences professionally and even cheerfully served-up by all too many agents of the “Mainstream Medical Establishment”, I took up, with considerable exasperation, the practice of appropriately FUNCTIONAL eclectic medicine against the condition all by myself, entirely on my own authority.
Because life is precious. And because it truly sucks to be on such an Agency List as forces one’s suffering self directly and non-negotiably into the realm of Kabuki Medicine. (Nevverhappened, yah roight. Shaddup and read yer’ Tom Robbins novels some more. We can talk LATER, OK, Kid?) And because the BEST revenge, served-up at ANY temperature, is SHEER OVERWHELMING SUCCESS against the foul works of one’s lifelong criminal enemies, thank you!
And, above all, because Heaven reliably recognizes True Will, locking-in the intended success at the Impossible Thing per numerous Biblical promises, buttressed by the Wisdom Content of MANY other faiths’ Holy Books AND plenty contemporary real-life experience as well. Because Genuine Kind Holy Creator God dwelling in Christ within YOU is NOTHING but GOOD. 🙂
The infectious condition itself, by that point in late 2008, had become all too obviously life-threatening as well as quite likely contagious. So the colonizing sarcoptic mites were first to go, due to ready Ivermectin availability these days. (Didn’t exist, Back Then.) The microscopic, paedogenic larvae and pupae of those pinpoint-sized and otherwise very odd little bull-neck beetles living in my flesh (right down to the bones of my limbs) went next, suppressed first by truly high-potency nano-particulated colloidal silver and then partially ejected by Clarkia.
These semi-ordinary therapeutic agents were followed in due course by a rather special thyme-based multii-herb Mitochondrial Hyperactivation tea that was Only Published Once online and Ain’t Thar No More. (I still have the recipe fwiw. Ping me here if genuine need is felt, Gentle Reader. MIGHT work against Morgo and similar conditions on that spectrum, ymmv due to the synbio factor BUT. Recipe will cost you nothing, same as cost me.)
Following that two-year ordeal with wave after wave of mitochondrially-driven ejection of all the insect-related foreign protein and attendant “pushout” from the deep tissues and action ALL over my body, the “incurable” agrobacterium tumefaciens load fell to Mullein Leaf tea (again via Amazon and buttressed with a peer-reviewed lab study published by http://GreenMedInfo.com, thank you!)
And that left nothing but the infectious yeast. Malessezia, near as can tell. ALL throughout the tissues and even within certain muscles. (Awful stuff. Cramps like fire!)
That yeast, one may recall, was the one and only component that the MD Gang ever actually tried to eradicate. But, due to (imvho) sheer timidity in the antifungal dosing PLUS failing to go after (or even recognize!) the underlying macro- and micro-organism infections outlined above, with no success. So I turned to again with a full-on antifungal protocol following those filthy critters’ confirmed eradication, with slow but encouraging success.
After Eight Months Bug-Free but still “All Yeasted UP”, though, I sensed that I was nearing a plateau. Enter the GSE, Stage Left.
That was when my slightly-eccentric twenty-year friend stepped in again. That Good Man’s quiet inquiries had earlier yielded a quiet and somewhat shamefaced, “Yeah, we helped another agency with a personnel reference from our wartime field staff, back then, and we are sorry we did so but it was a routine professional courtesy to another agency and we never meant for any child to be harmed”, gained from a long-time friend of his own, well-placed in today’s Army Intelligence Corps. Seeing my struggles with that last remaining component of the old nightmare, he recommended GSE as a “booster” to my already-heroic antifungal self-help efforts. His word has always proved good, no matter how odd-sounding it may have been on any given topic. So I shopped about a little, then settled on the Bulk Supplements product due to its fast availability, averred purity and thus potency at-the-price. And I am mighty pleased.
Half a teaspoonful more/less, taken in divided doses via my day’s ration of coffee does it for me. Improvement in the rate of lesion-resolution became noticeable by the end of the first day. By then, those stubborn recursive multi-fold adhesions embedded in my subcutaneous tissues and dermis, complete with their load of deep-seated insect-detritus inclusions that would not allow proper cleansing extraction even with Ketoconazole and Cannabidiols in high internal doses and, concurrently, Chlorhexidine PLUS unrefined Coconut Oil externally “in play”, took to opening up with minimal manual urging and disgorging their foul fester-making solid content rather easily. I soon noted greatly reduced resistance and pain during even the deepest extractions. (I credit the GSE’s well-known strong antioxidant action fwiw, but the flavenoid spectrum just might be helping regenerate the afflicted tissues too for all I know.)
Healing sets right in after the embedded insect+yeast crap is removed, my friend. Made a believer out of me. No worse than removing any other sort of shrapnel, now! I should have my entire skin, scalp and all, all the way back to full health within no more than a year or two at this rate. What with top-quality natural bulk supplements such as GSE and Resveratrol, Vitamins D3 and C, one might well expect to be be forgiven by any inexperienced online onlooker for looking forward to recovering quite a few of these prior, Agency-stolen five decades of ill-health and outright madness – with no medical intervention needed or, for that matter, ever allowed again. Might make 110, maybe 120 years before I’m done, now. Thank you again and again, Bulk Supplements! 😉

Precautions
Grapefruit can have a number of interactions with certain drugs, increasing the potency of many compounds,[38] including warfarin (coumadin).[39] Grapefruit has components that inhibit the CYP3A4 enzyme in the intestine.[38] Thus, it is this effect that increases the rate of absorption of several drugs.[40] There are ***concerns about the safety of ingesting synthetic preservatives found in grapefruit seed extract***.[7]

Comment: Likely indeed true. But the BulkSupplements product, near as this one-human research lab and tiny, one-patient Eclectic Alternative Functional Medicine facility can determine, does NOT contain any such preservatives or adulterants as the wiki article cites, even nigh unto its beating the topic to death. (Wiki editorial policy apparently hates Natural Medicine and strongly shills for the Cancer Industry instead; go figger.) GSE from BulkSupplements is an orange-brown, slightly hygroscopic *powder*, and is thus not diluted with any “carrier” nor, I think, adulterated by any other means. So don’t believe wiki too much – just use due caution if on blood-thinning prescription meds and the like, is all. (THINK.)
OK, now one last link: http://health-science-spirit.com/borax.htm. Another powerful and utterly natural anti-fungal agent in YT’s arsenal and how to use it allopathically, well-authenticated. (Not mentioned there, so listen up, please: Over-usage may produce constipation in susceptible individuals; discontinue for a while and loosen-up again if ever so. Then resume with a reduced dose if necessary. Make sense?)
And THAT is just about all there is to tell of how to actually cure and heal-up from such a Gummint-administered multi-species multi-organism bioweapon infection from Hell’s Rabbinate (as-administered per post-WWII Op Mockingbird Dissident Suppression and Enforcement Methods), just as YT was given to rassle to the ground and jolly well kill outright! Just remember the GSE during the antifungal phase and (just suggestin’, based on experience) get it “into you” imvho EARLY in the overall therapeutic protocol’s administration.
Right after completing the multi-herb, thyme-dominant Push-Out Tea and wormwood+walnut-hull-based Clarkia’s phase would not be too soon imvho. Right in there with all the rest of the necessary antifungal and anti-adhesive materials and agents. (Including original-orange Dial® Soap, btw; the hexachlorophene content actually works on sticky biofilm molecules that other, more esoteric anti-that-schtuff materials mentioned above really do NOT touch. The chemistry is just that selective. )
So happy healn’ now, y’hear? Don’t step barefoot in any cow-pies on the way… First it seems to get worse, then it sure gets better. No sugar-coating on THIS medicine, rest assured.
But it WORKS. And that is all. 0{;-)o[

It probably is of grapefruit origin, but I doubt it has any actives left. Very little scent, slightly burnt taste, almost no bitterness. The goodness has been washed away.

I actually meant to buy the “Grape Seed Extract” not the “Grapefruit Seed Extract” and actually added it to my smoothies for 3 days before noticing my mistake. Luckily none of my medications interact with grapefruit.
Con: The only con I have about this product and the other Bulk Supplement Products is that it is hard to reseal the ziploc on the container. The powder gets mixed up pretty well and into the grooves so you definitely need to put it in another ziploc bag or some other contain once you open it.
Pros: Everything else about the Grapefruit seed extract is great. It dissolves easily in smoothies and has a slightly bitter but in my opinion kind of good flavor. I’ve used it in fruit smoothies with plain greek yogurt and coconut water and it goes well. Aside from that I bought it thinking it was grape seed extract and expecting anti-estrogenic properties, I still noticed I was feeling better, not in any specific way, just a sort of all around more healthy feeling. I had been making fruit smoothies prior to adding this and not feeling as well as after so I’m guessing the effect is due to the grapefruit seed extract. Supposedly grapefruit seed has many great antioxidant properties as well as antimicrobial and natural preservative properties so I say as long as you aren’t taking a medication that reacts with grapefruit juice, adding this to your diet will at least be a tasty addition and likely provide significant health benefits.

This was a decent product, the shipping was fast, solid packaging. I normally use nutricbiotic gse, i decided to give this one a try because it is less expensive. not as potent as nutribiotic, but still good quality. I will be ordering other product from this company.
