This is as about as good of a honest answer as you will get. First off, i don’t recommend using gripe water or gas drops if it’s really not necessary for the child in the first place as the EU doctors have mixed feelings about these ingredients for newborns, but if worse comes to worse and you need it then you need it. I honestly tried these with my first child and they were absolutely useless. Did nothing to relieve gas and did not help at all with colic. I will say, I gave it another try with my second child now and it surprisingly had the opposite effect and worked now… so all I can say is it really just depends on your kiddo. I used it now the second time when my son was experiencing a lot of gas issues around 3 weeks. We gave it to him the first time and he slept until his next feeding with no issues. We continued to give him a dose at each feeding and so far it has done him wonders. I can’t complain because it makes me happy to see him pain free after eating. As far as the ingredients go – I’m fairly happy with how simple they are and overall do not cause any major issues from them being in my little guys tummy.
Don’t get discouraged by the negative comments on here and give it a shot you never know if it might help. I usually don’t give it to my kiddo straight because he does not like the flavor and spits it up. I usually put it in his formula when he eats to help him take it down. Hope this helps!

This is a necessity for your newborn. Works great and my baby seems to like it better than the other brands. I buy it for every baby shower!

Little Remedies Infants and Children Tummys Gas Relief Drops, Natural Berry Flavor, .5 Ounce
Oh, how thankful I am that I found these drops!! My little guy just turned three months old and has been quite the little gasser since day one. He never had a problem getting it out until recently. He has been practicing the new skill of holding it in not realizing that it is what makes him soooo uncomfortable. I have tried massage, cycling his legs, etc., nothing works. I gave him one dose of these and, for the first time in my life, farts were like music to my ears. The poor little guy had ben crying for two days straight and he was actually laughing and cooing while he was passing gas. Aside from being a huge relief to both he and I, it was also extremely entertaining, lol. They must taste ok, too, because he took them with no complaints and didn’t spit it back out (a problem I had with the gripe water I tried first). I will never not have these on hand again, they have been a life saver.
(As always, talk to your pediatrician before just giving your child medication because someone on the internet said it is great. I’m not a doctor.)

We are so grateful for gas drops! This was one of the best things that we got for our baby. I didn’t realize how much we would rely on gas drops. Our baby girl would have gas pain or a tummy ache and gas drops always gave her relief. Pro tip: The easiest way to get your baby to take medicine is getting the pacifier that the oral syringe goes into. It makes it so much easier for them to take medicine that way! Buy at least two at a time to save money and to have on deck. You won’t want to run out of this!

My poor little one had such a hard time figuring out gas it broke my heart watching her struggle. Newborn digestive systems are still developing and will do so for several months. But at the very beginning I felt awful not knowing how to make her more comfortable and help her get just a bit of relief, so I purchased these drops because I knew the brand well. I spent 11.5 years as a lead tech in pharmacy and we sold these to new parents like hot cakes. They don’t work like magic or anything the first month or so, but they most definitely do help enough to make a difference for baby. Granted I had to sacrifice sleep for about a full month to let my little one sleep on my chest every night because the gas would scare her awake, but being on my belly with her belly pressed against my warm body soothed her so she could get the sleep she needed. But every feeding at night I would put these drops into her formula and she’d get instant relief long enough to go back to sleep on mama where the farts would resume about an hour later. But again she would at least be able to fall asleep and my warmth kept her asleep. Also, when feeding baby try to keep them as upright as possible to cut down on both butt and mouth gas. It helps heaps abs bounds in addition to these drops. Again it’s not a magical cure, but they will help your baby enough. Just gotta get through that first rough month where the gas cramps and farting still freak them out and until they learn to pass it without fussing and crying.. usually about 2 months in. Good luck new parents, I promise you it does get better. And the poops only get bigger!

This is a must have. We often need this for our 3 month old with colic. It seems to give her relief the best out of the various solutions we have tried. She loves the flavor, stops crying to lick at it each time we give it to her. It doesn’t always totally fix the problem, but it seems to at least relieve some of her discomfort consistently. It has also helped to get her to nurse if we give it to her before an upcoming feeding.
