I have been taking turkesterone for about 5-6 years to help me get back in shape and build muscle. As a guy in my 60s, keeping fit for my health as I age is a priority, yet turkesterone tends to upset my stomach. Fortunately for me, this ecdysterone product delivers a compound similar to turkesterone all without the gastrointestinal worries. The capsules are easy to swallow with water and don’t give me nasty burps, stomach cramps, or headaches. I have been taking this supplement once to twice per day at and now am writing this review as I have finished the bottle. The bottle lasted me 1.5 months due to its 60 count.
The most notable effects I’ve recevied so far is a definite increase in my stamina level. While turkesterone used to leave me with headaches, neutralizing any effect I might have gotten, this one is headache free while helping to boost my running and lifting. I have seen my mile times improving at the gym and I definitely can do more reps while building muscle. Was not happy when I got my product and realized when I read the ingredients that it contains mercury and lead both are known carcinogens that can cause cancer try to contact them to get my money back and send them back to product. Haven’t heard back from Amazon or gorilla.

I love to give positive reviews if a product has given me some noticeable boost or gain. At times, a product is working, subtly, but below the level of awareness. I know this is a quality company so I have confidence in their offerings. I for one just haven’t seen or felt any difference.

I’ve gotten many products from this company and they’re always high quality. If you’ve heard of turkesterone, ecdysterone has similar effects. At the moment, it is much harder for companies to source high purity turkesterone compared to ecdysterone. So even though turk is stronger than ecdysterone, most ecdysterone products contain a higher dosage of active ingredients and should actually provide better results than most of the turkesterone products on the market. At least that’s my understanding from the research I’ve done. There aren’t tons of studies on ecdysterone but there are enough to show that it has health benefits for humans and that it helps to improve recovery time and increase muscle synthesis.
There are lab results for this exact brand of ecdysterone which you can find online. I only take one capsule a day and I’ve been doing so for a few months. I believe this product does what it claims to. I would recommend having your diet, sleep, and training all dialed in before trying this product. But assuming you have a solid routine established, I can definitely recommend giving this a try and seeing what results you can get from it. Don’t expect anything crazy, but most people can expect to see some results.

So, from my limited research into Ecdysterone, and particularly complexed in this way, I have seen that there have been studies conducted into their effects. Unfortunately, most studies you can find use rats or similar as the subjects. Nevertheless, Ecdysterone complexed with Hydroxypropyl-β-Cyclodextrin does seem to be more bioavailable within those test subjects.
All of these types of supplements have a degree vagueness regarding their actual impact on a human. They may “work” on some people, and not on others. To my knowledge, there’s a significant amount of control for other variables that has to be accounted for (or removed altogether) in a legitimate trial, and personal experiences may only be considered anecdotal, for that reason.
With that said, Gorilla Mind as a company tends toward providing products which have strong scientific backing. Whether products like this one are an outlier in their lineup is up for individual interpretation. Gorilla Mind has seemed to want to stay at the forefront of what’s being talked about in the fitness community, and that doesn’t always mesh perfectly with providing thoroughly proven products. In some regards, if the only alternative is to not provide a product like this at all, then I would prefer they did, and allowed the consumer to make the decision about whether it’s right for them or not.
With that out of the way, I personally didn’t notice any substantial increases in any areas while using this product. Even if I had, it would be difficult to isolate this supplement as THE one that caused it, with so many other extenuating factors also at play. I also didn’t notice any negative effects at all, so I would say that at least from my own personal experience, it’s safe to try if that’s what you’d like to do. They do seem to offer a satisfaction guarantee, which may give some peace of mind.
This Ecdysterone Complex may be worth a try for those that have an established routine, but have otherwise plateaued in some aspects of their development. Once you have your calories, protein, and creatine locked in and you feel ready to try something new, maybe give it a shot.
