My old Ashwagandha supplement was discontinued so I recently went searching for a replacement – I think this is it. While my old brand was tastier and had additional vitamins that I needed, this one is otherwise a suitable replacement.
I’ve always had a hard time finding the right dosage for Ashwa (recommended dosage is 500 mg/day, and that works well for me; I don’t get why no one sells that). This one and Gogli were closest, assuming I double the dosage, so I can I take two gummies twice a day to keep my dosage closest to what I need.
I really appreciate that these aren’t sticky, like, at all. My old brand was sticky, and I had to scour the shelves each time for bottles that weren’t entirely congealed. Gogli ones are sticky too, and while they don’t congeal as much as my old brand, they leave your fingers and whatever med container you use a ridiculously sticky and stained mess. While the Goglis are tastier, overall it’s not worth the mess. These are also ever so slightly cheaper. Only other thing I don’t like about them is that they have a very high profile, so they don’t fit in most pill containers (but like I said, the other brand Gogli wasn’t really an option for this either due to the mess it made).
✨ It’d be really nice if they sold bigger containers… my old Ashwa bottles held 120 gummies and lasted me two months, whereas these hold 60 and last two weeks – a truly ridiculous and wasteful amount of plastic and deliveries. Same with the Goglis which are the only other ones that would work with my dosage, so there’s no better option, but PLEASE Nature’s Bounty take note. The world is on fire and we’re all exhausted, so can you please make bigger bottles. This is my single request for improvement ✨
Overall I’m glad I found these. I take a lot of meds and supplements, and Ashwa is the one thing that I prefer to have in gummy form, it’s just so much easier to take it, and makes it a little more fun.
As for the benefits of Ashwagandha, it’s been pretty great for me. I’ve taken it for a couple years now, and it really helps with a certain type of anxiety. It takes a while to kick in (a few weeks if I remember correctly, and don’t believe anyone who claims there are immediate effects…that’s just misinformation). Earlier this year I was forced to discontinue most of my meds and supplements for an extended period, and it really illustrated the positive effect A has had on me. I struggled a lot more with anxiety and moodiness. Started taking it again and feel better again 👍🏻 Again, I only just switched to this brand a month or two ago, but I’m hopeful it will work as well as my old one did.
