Item on left is what I ordered. Cream is thick and helps dry damaged skin heal. The product on the right is what I received. Though they claim only the packaging was upgraded, the cream itself is watery and needs to be reapplied often. I’m extremely disappointed.

I am a nurse who washes her hands many times a day. Cracked and often bleeding skin is a way of life for me. This product is healing my skin better than any prescription cream has. It is not greasy or sticky and it dries fast. My only complaint is about the packaging. The tube is quite large – too big to be easily carried in a woman’s pocket ( if we ever really got them in our clothes). It’s relatively large diameter makes it hard for a small hand to squeeze out a controlled size of cream. I end up with a bigger blob in my palm than I wanted. A smaller size would be a nice option. One drop on a hard tile floor and the flip top breaks.

This stuff works great for dry and damaged skin. In the winter, it is the only stuff that rapidly heals my dry cracked skin with such little application. Other creams I have tried require 3-4 applications to get the same results. I also use this for abrasions and small cuts on my hands because it is difficult to keep Neosporin and a band aid on with hand washing. The cream can get greasy and it takes several hand washing sessions to remove the stuff, but it works so well you might want it to stay on anyway. All in all, this is my go to lotion in the winter time.

This lotion has dimethicone, which is the ingredient that I look for in a lotion for dry skin. My child gets extremely chapped hands in the winter, and we tried all of the recommended lotions, but they were not as effective as this one.
They did change the formula a while back, so double check that dimethicone is the 3rd ingredient. Dimethicone provides a protective coating on the skin, holding in your natural moisture and allowing your skin to heal.

Every year when the weather starts to change my knuckles crack and split. I’ve tried so many different types of lotion – some better than others, but none as good as this Gold Bond. For me, this has worked better than a Rx cream I got from the dermatologist. It’s a little greasy, and I find myself wiping my palms off after I apply it so that I don’t leave greaseball fingerprints everywhere I go, but that’s a small price to pay for how well it works. Way to go, Gold Bond!
