This product is definitely effective in inhibiting pigment that’s what Kojic acid does so if your looking for a glow you need to use along side something with ceramides in it as well as vitamin c. This helps to lighten dark spots by removing the pigment and whatever area you use it on, it can also help to inhibit bacteria growth because it is a acid so for skin conditions like tinea versicolor, negricans or fungal rash or acne etc however if your skin is burning flaking peeling your using it wrong! It’s a natural acid that comes from mushrooms so it’s not skin bleaching but it will burn because it it’s active and works fast so you don’t need to leave on for long 2-3 minutes max but if skin is thin like under arm pits 1-2 mins otherwise it’ll blister. After you use it in shower you need to use a moisturizing lotion then a shea butter or light oil that absorbs like olive or apricot oil and best to do while skin is damp from
Shower. after you put your Vaseline like lotion like the coco butter one to hydrate skin back and tone it so ur even all over, you will see results with consistent use. use it like every other day or every two days depending on your skin tolerance esp if you have eczema or dry skin or if you just used nair/shaved give it 3-4 days. but after a while you will build tolerance and can tolerate everyday but do not skip lotion and shea butter you also need to moisturize while skin is damp and when you rinse the soap off, rinse with cold water this closes pores and keeps remaining skin moisture otherwise your drying you skin out and dry skin along with acid results in burns and will leave your skin dark or darker than when you started. This is how you properly use this soap if you don’t use properly you will not like your results. So all the light colored ppl experiencing peeling you need to moisturize after you use and maybe not use often and leave long and if your pale it’s cause it’s not for glowing skin but for brightening and removing pigment and if you don’t have a lot to begin with opt for licorice root or vitamin c cream with at least 20% and make sure it’s at the beginning of ingredient list for most potent c instead of Kojic acid because Kojic acid is much harsher or a glutathione pill 800mg supplement alongwith vit c supplement.

I used this soap ONCE and the skin on my outer forearms became so incredibly dry that it started flaking and cracking, which has never happened to me before with any other bar soap or body wash, of which I’ve used several – glycolic acid, lactic acid, salicylic acid, African black bar soap, Dr. Bronner’s tea tree bar soap, Summer’s Eve body wash, etc.
This stuff is super drying so just be cautious if your skin is more sensitive. I’m sure it cleans very well, but it’s not for me.

Pictures are of first day ( 08.12.2023 ) of use and present ( 08.23.2023 ) . Total of 11 days so far .
It’s only been 11 days of inconsistent use ( probably every 2 days when I started ) but the last 3 days I have used it every day . I highly recommend , I was skeptical switching to a different brand ( a couple years ago I used Kojic acid from another brand and it worked ) but have had no allergic reactions . I did , however , feel tingling/burning when I FIRST started using it . My skin got used to it after the first couple of uses and it no longer burns . I will let it sit on my skin for a couple of minutes and it still won’t burn . I have been using it on my bikini area and so far no burning or discomfort there as well , I just personally wouldn’t use it between any folds down there as it does burn when it gets in that region . Also didn’t notice any changes in PH or smells when using it in my bikini area so for me it’s been great to use . It’s only been a couple of days so I will continue to update .
My soap did come a little mishandled as it was mushed a bit on one side but I had no problems with it as the formula working was my main concern than aesthetics . It comes wrapped in plastic with no box protecting it and is delivered in a bubble wrap package so a little damage is definitely bound to happen .
How I use it now/my rules of usage :
1. Everyday on darkest areas ; elbows , bikini area , knees and armpits .
2. Every other day full body including face .
3. Apply to darkest areas FIRST before putting all over full body .
4. Slice 2 thin pieces of soap ( 2nd piece just in case first wasn’t enough or when doing full body the 2nd piece will be for the face ) .
5. DO NOT take full bar into shower otherwise the bar will not last long . It melts like butter when it’s in a moist environment or comes in contact with water .
6. Let sit for 2-3 mins before rinsing ( DO NOT RECOMMEND LETTING IT SIT ON FIRST COUPLE OF USES , let your skin get used to the product first ) .
I would like to mention I do use a Glycolic Acid body wash at night as well as a vitamin C serum in the morning ( Vitamin C only on my face , Glycolic Acid on Face and Body ) which I’ve read Kojic Acid helps in boosting the results of both those things .

I used the soap for a few weeks. It lathers beautifully and leaves the skin feeling clean and refreshed, you will have to get a moisturizer though. The scent is mild making it perfect for daily use. Although it didn’t help to clear my spots it’s okay.
