I’ve been using the Gillette Satin Care Ultra Sensitive Shave Gel for a few weeks now, and I’m very impressed! As someone with sensitive skin, it’s been a struggle to find a shave gel that doesn’t irritate or cause redness, but this one works beautifully. The fragrance-free formula is a huge plus, and it lathers up nicely, giving me a smooth shave without any discomfort.
The gel glides on easily and provides great coverage, helping my razor to glide effortlessly without nicks or cuts. I also love that it comes in a convenient 2-pack, so I’m set for a while. The 7oz size is perfect for travel too!

I think it’s very important to know that I have VERY sensitive legs. It took me YEARS (that is not an exaggeration) to nail a shaving routine that didnt leave my with bumps, nicks, rashes, or scrapes. I tried probably 8 different shaving creams; natural, foams, gels, aveeno, EOS, etc. Nothing worked. But this??? It foams so thick and nicely. I have finally nailed my shaving routine and I will only use this shave gel for the rest of my life. I often get compliments on how smooth I can get my nails to look and it’s thanks to this.

I’ve been using Gillette Satin Care Ultra Sensitive Shave Gel for about 7 years, and overall, it’s been fantastic. The texture is perfect—it starts as a thick gel and transforms into a rich, luxurious foam that spreads evenly over the skin. While I don’t have particularly sensitive skin, I tend to get razor bumps with other shave gels and creams. With this product, I consistently get excellent moisturizing and a smooth, close shave. (I use Gillette Mach 5 Men’s razors because I find they give me a closer shave and glide better over my contours without cutting myself).
If you struggle with razor bumps using other products, I highly recommend giving this shave gel a try. The only downside is that they recently changed the dispenser top. Now, even the slightest pressure causes the gel to shoot out uncontrollably, sometimes across the room or shower, instead of landing where you need it. It’s a bit like a cheap dollar store container, which is disappointing for such a great product.
Overall, it’s still my go-to shave gel, but I really hope they fix the dispenser design soon!
