I picked up the GHOST Gamer Sonic Cherry-Limeaid primarily for an energy and focus boost while at work. The price was a little steep compared to other competing products, but the flavors were interesting and their blend of nootropics and cognition enhancers seemed promising so I went for it.
The Package/Container: Upon arrival, the container was a smaller than I had expected it to be, but the recommended serving scoop size is also very small so it works out. Inside the container they do put a small package with loyalty rewards information that has a couple of flaps and folds. The powder is very fine so it gets caught in the little package and makes a mess when you try to remove it. I love when companies do rewards stuff, but I wish they would have put it behind the label to avoid the mess of removing it.
The Product: The powder itself has a nice aroma consistent with the reported flavor but is very fine and will go into the air a bit if you open it right after shaking like the instructions recommend. This doesn’t bother me such much and I actually prefer it to other energy mixes and more granular style pre-workouts. It does mix well in water but the flavor is very concentrated at the recommended levels of water so I generally mix 2 scoops into approximately 28 ounces of water, which I believe is double what the instructions recommend. One problem I do have is the amount of particulate that doesn’t mix in no matter how well you stir. This is also common with a lot of these powders, but the amount that settles at the bottom and needs to be remixed basically before every drink seems a *little* excessive. The overall flavor is pretty good. Not quite a perfect cherry limeaid but enjoyable enough. If it were just called cherry and lime or something other than Sonic cherry limeaid, the flavor would probably have been a 5/5 instead of 4/5.
Overall: I did get the energy and focus boost from the product that I was hoping for, but overall the price per container is still a bit high to call this a great buy. I would love to try more of GHOST’s products but I think the price will hold me back in the future when there are products that are close to as good for half of the price. I do think the licensing with candy companies and Sonic is neat (I really wish I would have tried the Warheads mix), but I hope that isn’t what drove the price up so high since the product would have been great without having to have licensed those names.

I’ve tried thinking I would like being able to have it with no carbonation. But this stuff tasted nothing like the canned stuff. No matter how I mix it. Will never buy again.

I got the Gamer Redberry flavor and it was great. I don’t think it’s as accurate to a real sour patch kid as their canned drinks are, but the flavor was sweet and sour. The NooLVL in this drink really really works. I felt more focused with this drink than any other energy drink I’ve tried! My only complaint is the price. I’d love to try more flavors, but at $40 for “40” servings (two scoops seems to be the truly effective dose) it’s a bit pricy. I hope to try more in the future if they go on sale

Love this stuff! I don’t really use it for gaming, but more as a supplement as I don’t go outside much and live in a darker climate. I do feel like my memory has slightly improved and have I more energy every day.
I would recommend it, but I know some people would not like it because of the chalkiness of the powder. It doesn’t fully dissolve and larger pieces collect on the bottom.

I’ve always been a fan of Sonic’s Ocean Water drink, so I had to try this flavor. The flavor of the powder is pretty spot on compared to the actual drink itself, I like it a lot! It doesn’t leave much powder residue at the bottom of my cups/bottles, and it has kind of a subtle taste.

I’ve been a competitive gamer since OG CoD 4: Modern Warfare, and for the longest time now I’ve been on the hunt to find my favorite flavored energy drink, and I think I finally found it!

Nowadays I basically only play Overwatch and it’s the perfect drink to help me focus in Ranked matches, without giving me jitters or anything like that. And it tastes great.

(Just wish they gave larger portions. It says 40 servings but it’s NOT 40 servings. You’d have to do half-scoops to actually get 40 servings. I think this is an issue with EVERY “Ghost Energy” product sadly. I’ve purchased Ghost Energy’s “Chips Ahoy Protein Powder” before, and it says 26 servings on the container, but it was without a doubt only about 16 servings. If you wanted the full 26 servings, like I said before, you’d HAVE to do half-scoops.) Now because the servings aren’t really correct, I have to give every Ghost Energy product as a whole, an overall 4 stars. If they ever correct their serving sizes, then it goes up to 5 stars.

I’ve tried several different “gamer” powders and none of them live up to the expectation and price. I’m still on the hunt for a pick me up that actually keeps me alert and tastes good. I’ve never tried Ghost before but was intrigued by this flavor. Sonic Ocean Water. Sounds pretty tropical! Honestly it just wasn’t good. A little salty. A weird flavor. It’s also pricier than the biggest gamer formula, which I won’t name. The powder did mix up fairly well though so I will give them that.
Edit: From 2 stars to 5
Ghost contacted me to give another flavor a try. I chose cherry limeade. This is way better than ocean water! To each their own. Great customer service and I’m now a fan.

I used to use a different product for what I call my morning boost. It gives me a little extra energy and helps me concentrate through the morning. I love the watermelon flavor. I can definitely tell when I miss taking it, and I’m thinking about adding an after-lunch boost.
I definitely recommend this product.
