We try to be as natural as possible, but finding natural, “good” tasting medicine is not easy. This, however, is not bitter or sour tasting, and I am obsessed with the smell. It is sweeter with a strong blueberry taste to overpower any of the acetaminophen taste.

This is such a great quality product. My kids like the taste and smell while I love the ingredients list. It works well and offers my kids pain relief pretty quickly. For what you get, I think it’s a pretty good value for money.

I found this product because I was in search for a more natural pain reliever for my children. My goal was to find medicine without any of the artificial flavors or colors. My children love this medicine. They think it tastes better and I love that it is blueberry flavor. I feel it’s more fun for the kids. My only critique is the packaging. It comes with a cup but also has an inside attachment for syringes. It does not come with a syringe so I just used my other ones. Unfortunately they do not fit and it causes the medicine to leak. The medicine is on the thick side and very sticky. So the bottle gets really sticky and it is hard to clean. I think it is worth the hassle since my kids love the flavor.

My husband broke his jaw and had subsequent jaw surgery that wired his jaw shut, requiring liquid formulation medications. The hospital gave us generic grape flavor acetaminophen (Tylenol) which he hated. We tried CVS generic brand which was better but burned his mouth. The Amazon brand was about the same.
Then we tried this one and it is better. However, it is extremely sweet even when diluted 1:1. I tasted a drop of it and I personally would be fine taking this medication, however for my husband he preferrs Little Remedies which is less sweet and Major brand which is a little more bitter over the Genexa brand.
Also, we looked up the ingredients. Genexa advertises itself to be “organic” and all “natural”. The main ingredient is “organic agave syrup” which is when the agave plant is super heated and processed to form 50% fructose, which is essentially high fructose agave syrup. So if it came from a corn plant or an agave plant, it still ends up being fructose in the end. I personally would prefer just normal glucose or table sugar and I really don’t like this type of marketing which I think some people blindly follow especially if they don’t have a science background and pay a lot of money for marketing.
On the other hand, the flavor is good to me, but I do like my sweets!
Sugars, organic or not organic (all sugars are technically organic), what did concern me was whether or not the Genexa brand actually puts in acetaminophen in their product since I’m wary of these “organic” brands. But it did bring down my husband’s fever so I am less concerned with regard to the drug itself.

as it does sit in my cupboard I do notice a slight color change but I think that’s do to oxygenation if anything.
