PPQ has been clinically proven to help repair and create new healthy mitochondria. It is an easy capsule to take. It provides 20 mg of PPQ providing a 3 month supply. I haven’t noticed any changes yet. It is full of fillers that I do not like and feel are unnecessary and unhealthy, like magnesium stearate. It is made in the US but is not 3rd party tested which makes me question heavy metals content.

This supplement comes in a completely shrink-wrapped bottle, with a peel-off seal under the lid. The distributor GeneX Formulas LLC uses a Florida address. One of the logos on the front of the bottle only says “packaged and tested in the USA”, which isn’t ideal, but the fine print on the back of the bottle does say “This product has been manufactured in a US-based, GMP, FDA, and NSF certified facility.” If the second statement is accurate, they ought to use an unambiguous “Made In USA” logo on the front of the bottle instead of what they had. The bottle I received had about 3 years until its expiration date, which was printed on the bottom of the white bottle in unnecessarily-hard-to-read yellow ink (blue or black ink would’ve been fine).

This seems to be a good product for me. I liked that it is 3rd party lab tested for heavy metals. I like that it is easy to swallow. I don’t smell any funky odors and I get no taste when I swallow it. The capsules are white and standard-sized so they are easy to take. I also like the flip top lid. It seems to be a good product from a quality company. I also like that is is just one capsule a day, making this 90 capsule bottle last 90 days, which means it is a fairly reasonably priced supplement.

I got this because I really place an emphasis on keeping my mitochondria healthy as I personally believe they are way more responsible and reflective of our health than we are aware of. Scientist believe that PQQ may be beneficial with new mitochondria being formed. I like the concept of young healthy plentiful pools of mitochondria to keep my energy levels in check as well as keeping my cognitive ability function within and possibly even exceeding normal parameters. Many people are not aware that mitochondria make our energy. Our energy for our heart beating and our brain thinking and glucose being converted and our liver filtering etc. etc. etc. So yes to say that they are important is an massive understatement IMO. I always think of PQQ as Mitochondria food although that’s not 100% technically correct, it’s easy for me to remember !
I really really like this brand. They are a small business but yet they spend the time and the money to third party lab test all of their supplements and they do the test in the USA. I do not give 5 stars to any brand that does not do third party lab testing and do it in the USA/UK or Canada or a country with regulated oversite with supplement ingredient testing. Reason being many companies are using the test of the seller of the raw ingredients as their supposed third party lab test. And that is of course the last person you want doing it ! Genex does it the right way and that’s one of the many reasons they have an excellent reputation. The dosage with this spot on with what I like at 20mgs. According to many studies no benefit has been observed after 20 mgs including increased blood flow to the brain. I do not notice anything when I take these and that’s probably because I have been taking them for so long ( years and years). I definitely notice though when I do not take PQQ. I feel a bit sluggish and slower in thinking at times. I have never had any bad sides with PQQ. These are easy to take and I had no sides. I definitely recommend this brand and all 10 stars ! This is a 3 month supply of pqq, which is an amazing value. Pqq by itself has good anti aging properties because it’s a powerful antioxidant, but I also take it together with either NAD or NMN for a better synergistic effect. If you’re in your 30s like me, this is a good time to start supplementing with this as our mitochondrial function starts to decline. I’m a believer in the mitochondrial theory of aging so I try to do what I can to stay healthy.

After taking for a couple weeks now, I’m still not sure if I’ll re-order. I feel a little more energy, but that could be due to other factors. They’re easy to swallow with no lingering aftertaste. My concern is their wording on the package, as if trying to make you think they are made in the USA. The package states they are bottled and tested in the US, not made here. Where is the PQQ actually made? Why did they seem to try to mislead us in the wording and not mention where the ingredient is combined with the fillers? While I feel they may be doing me some good, I also don’t know that I trust a company that tries to word something to mislead.
