Love this stuff, have used for years. Really prevents lactose intolerant symptoms with only a slightly sweeter taste to milk. Easy to use. But in 2022 have had a run of defective bottles. The dropper is too small for the bottle, falls out when squeezing bottle, have wasted a lot of product. Am now taking dropper out completely and using a glass eye dropper instead. Works fine.

Lactase drops are sold by several other companies including Pharmax, Seeking Health, and Disolact. Disolact and Pharmax are no longer carried at the stores where I originally found them, which leaves Seeking Health and Lacteeze. I have used both and found both to be effective when used as prescribed on their labels. A quick comparison reveals that Lacteeze is a much better buy.
Seeking Health
—————
56 drops/gallon
$31/oz
Lacteeze
—————–
18.5 drops/gallon
$18.73/oz
The two variables in treating milk are number of drops and time for the drops to work before consuming milk. After experimentation with both variables, I found 15 drops and 48 hours to be the best compromise for me.
This product was amazing for me, as it allowed me to GOMAD.
I highly recommend Lacteeze drops.
Edit: Those numbers didn’t seem right, so I checked my Lacteeze bottle. It is .24 oz, so Amazon’s math for $18.73/oz is definitely not correct. The correct price per ounce should be ~$48. Assuming the drop sizes are the same, Seeking Health treats 11.75 gallons and Lacteeze treats 35.6 gallons per ounce of product when used as directed. So it would take 3 oz of SH ($93) to treat as much milk as one ounce of Lacteeze (~$48).
Update 11/27/12: Thank you, Amazon! Now offered in the 15.5 ml size- a much better deal: Lactase Enzyme Lacteeze Drops 15.5 ml Liquid by Gelda Scientific

This product works as well as the pills. I use it in milk and have no side effects.

I’ve used Lacteeze for years with great success. I use it mostly in yogurt, but because it’s thick, I let it sit for 2 days. I’ve used in it heavy cream and homemade ricotta (easy & quick!).

I think this product is OK. It did not help my problem with milk. But it could be just my system.

Add to my half and half for coffee. Works great!

It didn’t help at all and worsened the baby’s diarrhea symptoms straight after the first day of try!

This product works well, but at $17 per tiny bottle I’m not sure its a cost-effective alternative to buying lactose free milk. It is nice to be able to buy milk by the gallon, but the savings are going to be minimal to nonexistent.

I find this works better than milk with the lactose already reduced that you can buy. I put in ten drops per half gallon and find the results perfect…doesn’t upset my stomach and tastes more sweet and pleasant. Very convenient to be able to change any organic milk I find rather than seeking out the one brand that seems to make organic lactose reduced milk. It’s also a better value. Though this isn’t cheap, one bottle seems to last me an average of three months. Highly recommended.
