If I could give a negative stars I would . It did t help it made it worse almost like a burn under my entire lip and on top then I stopped using got better but slightly still irritated then my lips all peeled and bled . I have had cold sores my entire life this is the worse stuff ever and it’s natural omg I thought I would have to go to the dr. Weeks later it still looks like a burn under right next to my lip where it naturally bled . Don’t use this
Here is my honest opinion –
This is glycerine with a touch of honey. I know honey has healing properties. This won’t heal a cold sore, but will keep things moist enough to heal with a minimum of pain. The tube is pretty big, so I am using it a few times a day on my chapped lips. It seems to help. I am not sure if it is the honey or glycerine, but my lips are definitely feel better.

This is my first experience purchasing a product specifically for cold sores. I recently got one my first ever, and this came right on time. I love that it’s made with plant-based glycerin. It has a lip-oil consistency and looks beautiful on the lips and no one will ever know that you’re using a cold sore/fever blister gel. As soon as I applied it, it moisturized my lips and that annoying rough patch on my lip didn’t bother me anymore. I woke up the next morning and my lips were softer and I hardly noticed the cold sore/patchyness of the scab. I love this and am so glad I got it. I also love that it has a honey taste to it, and is kind of sweet. I continue using it to help remove my cold sore and every day I see it going away. I love this!

I got this for my mom. She hasn’t had the need to use it yet, but we’ll see. I’m kind of skeptical, but hopefully, less is more. It’s just two ingredients and pricey ($17.99). It came in a sealed box.

This is quite moisturizing. It does smell like honey and is very sweet. I don’t believe there is any additional added sugars or anything to this, it is just the sweetness from the honey. I did find it a bit too sweet on my lips and it felt a little strange because I’m not used to my lip balms/glosses having a sweet sugary taste. I can also feel a little bit of a scrub like material, sort of how your lips would feel if you applied a lip scrub. You just feel it within 10-15 seconds of applying on your lips but it sort of melts away.
I’m not entirely sure how well it works as a cold sore treatment as I didn’t get to test it out on that. It doesn’t have the cooling/numbing so I’m not sure if it would provide much relief for anyone with a flare up. From using this on “healthy lips”, this almost feels like it may be better as a lip balm. I am currently using it as a lip balm and each time it does feel weird with how sweet my lips are.

This Bee Rx Cold Sore/Fever Blister Gel 0.35 oz. comes in a small compact tube making it easy to take with you when you are on the go. It is also easy to store in a drawer, not taking up much space. I love that it is all natural. It does seem to work well to soften the area applied to, and to promote healing. It also seemed to help with the discomfort. It is definitely good to have on hand.
