Yes, it might be best to have fresh aloe from a plant but I don’t have time to be tending plants a lot or several plants around to be cutting off from every time we use this on a daily basis. So, I got this for my husband who is on blood thinners and tends to bruise easily. He has thin, fragile skin too and needs something to moisturize and soothe his skin without being greasy or oily. This gel is clear and free of dyes plus there is no added fragrance. It absorbs fairly quick too and doesn’t leave a greasy after feel. I like using this gel as a moisturizer. It feels light and refreshing on my skin. I even use the gel as a makeup primer (it provides a smooth surface). As with any product there can always be those who have sensitivities, so if you think you have sensitive skin check it out on a small area first. Neither of us have experienced any issues with it. It is wallet friendly too for a 12 oz. bottle. It has become a staple in our house. This gel does contain several other ingredients besides aloe like tocopheryl acetate (Vitamin E Acetate), etc. It would be helpful to know the percentage of aloe compared to the the other ingredients in the gel (as at least on the bottle I got there is not info as to this). Also, this is for topical use not consumption. Hope maybe at least some of this info helps.

After using this Aloe Vera gel with glycerin right out of the shower, my skin feels incredibly soft and radiantly glows. It’s amazing how the simplest and most affordable products can produce the most remarkable results!

I always keep Fruit of the Eart Vloe Vera Gel on hand, because it’s so useful.
Unlike many aloe gels, this does not contain added colors, SD alcohol, menthol, or lidocaine. SD alcohol and menthol provide a cooling sensation, but can irritate the skin. Lidocaine is what your dentist injects into your gums to numb nerve endings for dental procedures. I have used gels with lidocaine in the past, and it does help with the pain, but it will not help heal the burn. Neither will SD alcohol or menthol.
If you have mild sunburn, apply this frequently, stay inside, and stay cool. Fortunately, this product can be applied as often as you please. If your sunburn is moderate to severe, see your doctor.
I use this for minor household burns. Two days ago, I burned my forearm near my elbow while reaching into a 425 degree oven. Right away, I ran some cool (not cold) water over the affected area, and started applying this gel every couple hours. I also used a good moisturizer and sunscreen; more on those products later. The burned area of skin is now brown. There is no redness, no pain or irritation, blistering, peeling, or scabbing. The skin is perfectly smooth and the mark will fade.
It’s also good for an array of minor skin irritations. Sometimes when I’m handling plants and gardening, oils from the plant cause a bit of an allergic reaction. I’m not talking about poison ivy types of reactions here, just itchiness with or without redness, without a rash. It’s quite soothing. It also helps heal minor cuts and abrasions, those tiny injuries that happen while cleaning house or handling office items.
I’ve used it in a pinch as hair gel. It has no film formers or silicones, so it doesn’t add hold or shine, but the thickeners will add some body to my hair, which is great, because my hair can use all the body I can give it.
For both men and women this is possibly the best aftershave product out there. No matter how you remove hair, you may experience skin irritation. Depilatories, epilators, electric, and blade razors can all cause rash or razor burn. Gentlemen, please get rid of aftershave products and use this. Don’t use aftershave products or colognes containing alcohol or menthol. No matter what you’ve been told, these products are not good for your skin. You may think the “burn” is a necessary part of a good shave, but you’re wrong. A good shave is the result of good shaving tools and techniques. Those products burn because they irritate your skin, and the more irritation you have from shaving, the more they burn. Otherwise, this is the first thing you should apply to your skin after shaving.
Use styptic powder or pencil, or an alum block to stop bleeding if necessary. Then, men and women both, use this gel first thing after shaving or other methods of hair removal. Aloe contains potent anti-irritants. It will soothe your skin, and help ease redness. After using the aloe gel, apply a moisturizer, such as Cerave Facial Moisturizing Lotion PM, CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion, or ShiKai Lotion, Dry Skin Therapy, Gold Bond Ultimate Restoring Lotion, With CoQ10. You’ll need sunscreen if you go outside. I recommend Olay Professional Pro-X Age Repair Lotion With Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30, EltaMD UV Lotion Broad-Spectrum SPF 30+, Banana Boat Sunscreen Protect and Hydrate Moisturizing Broad Spectrum Sun Care Sunscreen Lotion – SPF 50, or Industrial Strength Sunscreen ISSC-8-30+FF SPF 30+ Micro Refined Clear Zinc Oxide Fragrance Free.
Finally, and yummiest of all, this is so marvelous for rubbing your feet. Especially in the summer, when it’s mighty cooling, sometime after you get home from school or work, get your dawgs out of your shoes and spend a few minutes massaging your feet with aloe gel. It feels fantastic, and it isn’t so messy as massage creams, lotions, or oils, or other moisturizers. It’s a dandy treat for your feet.

I’m a member of Milan Hair Laser, & they recommended this gel to use on my face after hair removal treatments. It is excellent & I use it daily after facial cleansings. I have also added to an area that was sunburned a year ago. It totally healed that area. If I am feeing itchy, I apply to the area for relief. So many uses…I recommend it to everyone‼️

Essential aloe Vera for your cabinet! Affordable, good quality, and works well! I put aloe on for scars to heal faster, sensitivity, rashes, irritation, sun burns! Great to put on face as well if you experience any flare ups. No strong smell.
