I was looking forward to trying this shower gel because olive oil is used around the world as a natural moisturizer and has so many health benefits. However I was very disappointed by the experience, and I personally do not care for this product.
First off, I was very put off by the fragrance. I was prepared for it to smell somewhat like olive oil but it didn’t smell that way to me. To me it smelled more like rancid oil with some citrus top notes to cover it up. I was quite put off by it.
Still, I did want to try it for the moisturizing properties, and the product absolutely worked as described and left a nice soft feel to my skin.
But there was almost no lather to it. It was very odd, and I felt like I had to keep using more & more in an attempt to get/feel clean.
I really wanted to like this, but I think it’s just not for me. I’m giving it four stars, because the product works as described, but I won’t be ordering it again.

This product comes very nicely packaged with the air bubble wrapping that fully encloses the bottle. The shower gel has a light greenish tint similar to olive oil. The scent is like olive oil with coconut. For me, I first noticed the olive oil scent and has a sweet finish scent of coconut. I do appreciate the scent since I like olive oil and coconut but I just didn’t find the blend to be great. Also, the scent does become much more floral after showering. As for the gel, it is not that thick and spreads well but I don’t think it lathered up that well. As a result, I did use it with a loofah which did help produce more lather. I still use more shower gel than normal because of it. I do like this but is not great overall.

This shower gel smells good and cleanses well, however it barely lathers. Soap doesn’t need to lather for it to cleanse properly, it is mostly a psychological thing, but I still prefer a nice strong lather to my body wash and my shampoos.
Not a lot comes out with each pump, I found myself needing 3 or 4 pumps into my loofah, sometimes going back for more, for one session.
All that said, I do like this body wash. I didn’t find the scent too masculine or too feminine, to me it was more like a unisex scent.

This GAIA Oliva Shower Gel is so moisturizing! I live in a dry climate and have hard water, so I often feel tight and itchy after a shower. But not when I use this shower gel- my skin feels healthy and so soft as I dry off. Since it is heavy on the moisturizing, it takes more product to get a good lather. But I think that’s a personal preference. After you rinse it off, water kind of beads off the skin and you feel almost sticky. This didn’t bother me though, it was a good sign that the olive oil didn’t get washed away with the soap. The scent is a natural, earthy smell that I actually enjoy. But it doesn’t really linger after the shower, like a perfume filled body wash would do. All in all, I love this product and the packaging. This would make a great addition to a gift basket too.

Skin softening & moisturizing gel. Not much of a lather producer & takes a few pumps to get a full body wash, but it’s a nice, lightly scented gel, that leaves me feeling soft , moisturized & refreshed. Easy to use pump & overall, I like the quality & love it containing olive oil !

First, it comes packaged REALLY good. Definitely no fears of it arriving damaged.
Initially after first dispensing on my hand, I liked the scent. It was kind of sweet, maybe a little coconut-y and something that reminded me of almond paste. But after I started lathering it on, it turned to a scent that I found unpleasant. Kind of bigger and herbaceous.
I did not feel like it lathered super well, and noticed I had to dispense more on my exfoliate brush that I use when my typical body wash is able to get the job done in a single go.
I do feel like it did pretty well with moisturizing. My skin was left feeling decently soft, and to my surprise smelled okay.
Overall, the scent was weird to me, it required more product than usual for me, but it did have good end result.

GAIA Oliva Shower Gel Olive Oil with Coconut Scent: Hefty quantity with a pump dispenser and it’s probably better to use with a washcloth or similar for maximum suds. Sadly, I don’t find the Olive Oil+Coconut scent very pleasant. I couldn’t detect either, to me it smelled more like baby powder + plastic (!) so this will be relegated to the outdoor (summer) kitchen.

The shower gel smells nice and provides great moisturization even though the lather isn’t the greatest. IMO, you must use alot of pumps to get enough gel, but other than that and the lack of lather, I would recommend this product for a soft, moisturizing body wash.
