OMG, I seriously love this body wash. I love it so much that I already ordered two more! First, don’t let the pink color and rose geranium notes sway you into thinking this is just for women. The scent is very unisex and maybe even leans a bit masculine. It is so hard to describe the fragrance but I love it so much. Here is how I would describe it – you are at a spa in the woods at an outdoor music festival. Those are the vibes I get. There are definitely patchouli notes, so make sure you like that scent before getting this. It is very highly fragranced and made my entire bathroom smell amazing. This product lathers up beautifully and goes on smoothly. It is very moisturizing and the best part is the scent lingers on your skin. It’s the perfect amount of lingering fragrance – you have to be right up next to you to smell it (fitting for the name Get It On!). The price point is appropriate for this high quality product.

This is a great orange-smelling body wash that doesn’t feel like you’re in the middle of LUSH. The scent is just spot-on to the description, and take it from me when I say you’re going to be coming back for more!

INGREDIENTS — quite a laundry list and a lot of quality ingredients are listed thus this is more of a fancy body wash versus a more basic one. The lavender oil, spearmint oil etc. should aid with trapping in moisture; especially if you use a body lotion after showering.
— Silicone-free, sulfate-free, phthalate-free, paraben-free are all nice pluses in my book
SNIFF — It is a literal “concert” of spearmint and lavender in one splendid sniffing orchestra of scents. It truly seems to be a 50/50 showing with each scent taking its turn to perform for your sniffer. You can clearly smell each, but oddly enough, neither seems to overpower the other so you can easily detect both.
This is the biggest plus on this product…especially for fans of spearmint and lavender.
APPEARANCE — It comes out of the bottle like a lighter liquid gel with the coloring of honey.
FEEL — No major lathering, but it applies well and you do not need a lot.
All in all, a nice product with great presentation from the site page down to the product received.

I’ve been rotating between three Plant Apothecary body washes this past week. The “Cyprus + Eucalyptus” variant is described as “an energizing melange of scents” and “fresh herbal top notes of spearmint, cardamom and cedarleaf blend with the energizing base notes of eucalyptus, clove and rosemary.” The “Patchouli + Rose Germanium” is described as “a sensual balance of feminine and masculine scents” and “fresh herbal top notes of patchouli, rose geranium and tangerine peel blend with spicy base notes of vetiver, coriander and frankincense.” The “Lavender + Spearmint” is described as “a soothing combination of scents” and “a fresh herbal top note imbued with crisp, clarifying spearmint combines with a relaxing blend of chamomile and lavender.” The order in which I’ve listed the variants is also the order of my personal preference. While I find the “Cyprus + Eucalyptus” and “Patchouli + Rose Germanium” variants to be pleasantly scented, however, I’m not very fond of the “Lavender + Spearmint”. When it comes to minty scents, I highly prefer Peppermint over Spearmint because the scent of Spearmint, whether it is chewing gum or some other product, is reminiscent of menthol tobacco products that I find to be repelling. If Plant Apothecary had chosen instead to create a “Lavender + Peppermint” variant, it would probably end up being my favorite. From all of the sulfate- and paraben-free body washes I’ve tried in recent months, Plant Apothecary is amongst the best. I largely tried these body washes as a rotating alternative for OGX Smoothing + Coconut Coffee scrub and wash, which up until now was my favorite sulfate- and paraben-free body wash. If you get disappointed by the lack of suds provided by sulfate- and paraben-free body washes, you might be interested in knowing that both Plant Apothecary and OGX make use of coconut, making for a much creamier wash similar to suds.

Good feeling in the shower, a good scent. Knocking one star off because of the cap design. Pricing is definitely on the high side, should be around, or just under $10. I believe other people already mentioned the screw-on cap, instead of the easier pop-off cap that allows for one-hand use.

Just the right amount of lather for this earthy scented gel wash with sweet notes. The experience of applying it to my skin left me feeling like I was having a Lionel Richey moment from the music video for his smash hit, “Hello” Thoroughly recommended but take your time to go deep with it, like a Tantric Master. This all natural gel wash deserves your time & attention. Put some Barry White on the bathroom stereo 😉

I was a many time user of the Plant Apothecary product Calm Down. It was a great cleanser with a very soothing scent. Recently, the product went through a change. Although the same name, they chose a Lavender Spearmint formula. Instead of being soothing, it is aggressive and unpleasant. I would not recommend this new formula to anyone.
