Love this product. I have difficulty going to sleep due to indigestion amd gas. Gaviscon alleviates these issues allowing me to go to sleep. It works better and quicker than other products that I have tried.

I tried the American version of these at first, and the original flavor was horrible. Someone suggested that I try the Canadian version because it’s a higher strength and I’m so glad I did. Don’t get me wrong, they still foam up and make you question your will to go on, but there’s nothing better for acid reflux. It creates a sort of algae raft that floats at the top of your stomach and keeps the acid from coming back up.

Well, I didn’t have much choice. The price of my usual liquid Gaviscon Advance from the UK more than doubled, and with some vendors tripled, and doesn’t show any sign of going back to the original price. OK, this “extra strength” product, made in the US, is not as strong, but I looked at the ingredients, and it’s sort of close.
The cherry taste is not bad, but the bubbly/foamy reaction when you chew the tablets reminded me of pop rocks. (If you’re a boomer, you’ll remember them). The price of two tablets is about 85 cents, which is a little steep, but it does work. I have silent, nighttime reflux and if I eat cheese (my trigger), I’m gonna need a couple of these before bed. I will be getting these again, unless the UK stuff goes back down in price, which I doubt.

I have purchased this item several times from this seller and love the product. My most recent order was for 4 bottles and upon opening and chewing up 2 tablets I noticed it was VERY unusual. The tablets broke apart into tiny, dry pieces that did not dissolve as usual. It also tasted different and didn’t foam up in the mouth as usual. I opened a second bottle to try a tablet and the same issue. I looked at the lot numbers and they were all from the same lot; #201206 with an expiration date of 03/23. I had another bottle leftover from an older order, so I opened it and ate one – perfect! I checked the lot number and it was indeed from a different lot. I am returning these 4 defective bottles and wrote to this seller to let them know of the issue, as well as wrote to the company Gaviscon to let them know. Just wanted to give everyone else a heads up and to see if I’m not the only one that got a bad batch.

I was told to get this specific formula of Gaviscon by my ENT for a raspy throat due to GERD. It works great – is all I can say. And tastes good too. Only this formula creates the foamy effect that protects the throat, so make sure it isn’t other Gaviscon items that look exactly alike.

Canadian Gaviscon and American Gaviscon are NOT the same. The price for this, looks ridiculous when I can get Gaviscon at my Walgreens for much less. I’ve been using this for my SEVERE reflux since last year and forgot to order and went local and thought I’d be good. I was floored about how crappy the US version is. This product is an alginate, and working in dental, knows different consistencies, and the great foam this creates does help work like a “moat” and reduce acid. The US version seems more like a Tums or Maalox which does nothing for me. If you suffer like I do, this is ABSOLUTELY worth the extra money.

The product is Excellent for GERD and Acid Reflux. I had severe stomach acid issues that burned my esophagus to the point that I had a bad sore throat and could not stop coughing. After visiting an ENT specialist, the diagnosis was that I was destroying my esophagus. The ENT recommended GAVISCON with BRWON SEAWEED for two weeks, and it relieved my symptoms. I am almost symptom-free, and no pain and no coughing. Now that I have GERD and Acid Reflux under control, I only take the tablets when I know I will have a party weekend of alcoholic drinks, red wine, scotch, bourbon, whiskey, or rum.
