Our 96 # husky was diagnosed with arthritis 2 years ago. There are tons of expensive items out there to use but this is inexpensive and its given him back his run! Since buying 2 yrs ago I put a half scoop on his breakfast every other day. Sincerest not hurting he’s even exercising more and now weighs 84# highly recommend. One pail will last you more then 6 months.

I bought this for my great dane who has hip joint problems. I have been giving him a human glucosamine supplement in pill form. He weighs about 135 pounds, so I have been giving him an adult dose. ( 3000 mg per day) He knows all of the tricks to hiding pills in food and just picks the pills out and eats the food. I started poking his pills down, but he seemed to dread pill time. Recently I began crushing his pills and putting them on his food and that seemed to work better. (although he shares food with my other dane and she ended up getting some of it) I am hoping that this is a good solution. I just started using it today. I hope that he likes the taste as well as his crushed pills, but I’m not sure yet.
I was unable to find dosage and strength info when I ordered this, so I’m writing this review so that you can get a better idea of what you are ordering. The labeling on this says for horses only, so the dosage is sized for horses. It says to give 2, 1 oz. scoops per day. Each scoop contains 5,000 mg. There are 40 scoops per tub. I will give my dog a scoop every day since he shares his food with the other dane.

I have been using this product for my black lab mix dog for over a year. She weighs about 45 lbs. I figured out how much of a scoop to give her, which is about 1/5, and marked it inside the scoop. Checked w/my veterinarian and she said they often use products/supplements/medicines made for horses for dogs and adjust the amount according to weight. So I did receive her okay. My dog had surgery on her back leg last Feb. from a torn ligament and she was 12 1/2 yrs. old at the time. The glucosamine has helped her leg heal and she is still going strong at age 14. This is a great product and is a whole lot cheaper than buying glucosamine tabs from the vet.

My dogs are full bred labs 9 and 11 years old and I give them this everyday with their food. A 2.5lb amount will last a long time. My main beef with this is that you can get it direct from Gateway for 20.00 shipped. 16.09 shipping from this seller?? Come on. Glad I found a better deal.

I have a 12 year old ex-racer greyhound. Before i started giving him this product he would cry every time he moved or rolled over.
I have been feeding him this with his dinner for over 4 years now and since using this, the cries have stopped by at least 98%.
I swear by this product and at 67 yrs of age, with arthritis setting in, i am thinking about using it myself. lol.
