Great Flavor and super smooth! Love the vanilla flavor but have also used the unflavored and it is just as good. So easy to make a smoothy with this. We blend this protein with some fruit and almond milk and make popsicles for the Grands…they love them! If I could I would give ingredient quality a 10, I have tried every protein out there!

Wow. I just made my first shake using this protein powder and I’m very impressed. I buy a LOT here on Amazon…great prices and benefits as a Prime member. I stumbled on this by accident, and had to try it because I love Garden of Life products. I have been using Sun Warrior protein for a while and it’s by far, the best out there. High quality ingredients make it far above all others…until this. The coffee taste shines through in this protein powder. I like that you don’t need to add any sweetener, and love the fact that digesitve biotics are added as well. It’s genuinely “complete” in every way. The only drawback is the price….you only get 8 full scoops per bag…enough for a week! LOL! Wow. So what I’ve decided to do is to mix half a scoop with the chocolate Sun Warrior to make it go further. Don’t think I can use this on any sort of regular basis as I make a protein shake almost every day, and I eat mostly vegan currently. For the price, a 30 day supply of Sun Warrior is much cheaper (and it’s one of the few products that is cheaper at the Vitamin Shoppe than here at Amazon). But I have to give high marks for this product. The coffee taste, ingredients, and smooth blending, make it one of the best on the market. Thank goodness they didn’t use brown rice protein or grasses…..really a superb product and well done, GOL! One more thing. I added water and fruit to this, and I still got a great coffee flavor. Perhaps those that don’t taste coffee may be mixing their powder with some sort of nut or dairy milk (or whatever), and that is masking the flavor.

Mix a scoop right into your magic Bullet No need to add a sweetener it gives a pleasant flavor and taste already

This is a great mix! Flavor is fantastic, and it is oh so smooth, not grainy like many of the others. In fact, it is much smoother than the rest of the line, and you can really notice the difference.
However, my one complaint is the packaging. Getting a scoop out of there is a messy proposition, and always leaves powder out and about on the counter, clothes, etc. To fix this, I keep one of the empty plastic powder containers available and just transfer from the small bag to the large sturdy container.
Tip: This sometimes goes on sale – get it on sale, with a 15% subscribe and save, and you can get it for a VERY reasonable price, sometimes under $19-20.

UPDATE July 2017: I recently purchased another bag of the product and indeed, there is a strong and noticeable artificially sweet taste now present. Very much a bummer. It overwhelms my green smoothies almost entirely. Even though I found this powder considerably smoother/better blending than Garden of Life Hemp powder, I don’t think I’ll be buying it again.
////old review below///
i make strong vegetable heavy smoothies in the morning and this powder rounds out the taste wonderfully. i’m sensitive to fake/sugar tastes and didn’t find this in any way negative. after i purchased and threw away the package, i noticed other customers saying the formula had been recently changed. i just reordered another package so we’ll see if i notice anything, but otherwise i recommend this. it’s very very smooth and filling but not overly so

Here is my review from another protein powder (Vega) and I just have to say that I love Garden of Life!
I bought this because it was a little bit cheaper than the Garden of Life Organic Plant Protein. However – I am only halfway through the package of Vega and I think the Garden of Life is better and worth the few extra bucks – I don’t really want to use the Vega anymore. The Vega does the job – I make smoothies in the morning for breakfast, but it just doesn’t fill me up the same as Garden of Life and I make them the exact same way – scoop of powder, half of a banana, ice, cup of almond milk and some water. Vega is more grittier and the taste is OK. Plus – the consistency of my smoothie is different too – the Vega is more watery vs. the Garden of Life where it’s more smoother. Taste wise – Garden of Life is better.
I am giving this 3 stars because – when it comes down to it – it did the job it was supposed to do, just not as good as Garden of Life. I will continue to buy Garden of Life because I am a gluten/grain/dairy free and the pickings are slim to find something good tasting, satisfying, and budget friendly.

I’ve had a lot of coffee protein supplements – this is by far the most horrible tasting. If you want the flavor of cinnamon, flour and a touch of grit, stick with a homemade recipe. This was disappointing to say the least. It’s over priced for a bag of “air” and tastes like doo doo.
