I normally don’t like to write negative reviews, preferring to stick with the positive as opinions are generally subjective, but I felt compelled to write this one to warn the others. You know, like making huge signs out of car hoods and spray painting them to warn others that the town they’re about to enter is full of zombies, so don’t go there?? And if they still decide to go and get eaten, then it’s all on them. Well….I was eaten….and I only have myself to blame. I ignored the black hood with silver paint that yelled “GASOLINE VOMIT TASTE!”, and I also ignored the blue truck hood that had, “SO DISGUSTING” in white.
The fact is, a product is only as good as its usefulness to the consumer. This one was useless to me. I only made it through four servings before returning. The experience is SO bad that you can’t talk yourself into taking it no matter the benefit! The description of vomit taste is spot on, so is the reference to the orange oily slick that looks like the bottom of a Chinese food container. It was green and thick which only added to the experience of feeling like you just threw up in reverse. Vomit taste, bile burn in the back of the throat, and let’s not forget the enjoyment of all those little burbs throughout the day to remind you what you have to look forward to in full strength tomorrow. Getting nauseous just thinking about it…I think I saw that on a hood too…
So consider this your warning, spray painted in red on the side of a silver Boeing 747, “DON’T DO IT!!!”. My warning on the side of the road, if you will.

I had been taking Omni IV with Glucosamine for many months. Absolutely love it. I was a little short on cash this month so I decided to do some research to see if I could find a liquid vitamin as close to the Omni as I could. I found this and trust Garden of life and it was cheaper so I decided after comparing the labels to try this. NOPE I will NEVER buy this again. Omgoodness I get this is vitamins but so is the Omni IV . The tast of this product is so extremely bad I don’t think I will ever be able to get it down again. I even tried mixing it with some orange juice. I just can’t. I also can’t get past the oil and grease. Why does my vitamin leave a nasty oily greasy residue in my cup that took hot water and dawn just to get out of my cup. Nope I’m sorry I love your company but this I can not do. Omni IV may cost more, it has all the same vitamins plus some and is a nice clean looking product with a great taste and no oil /greasy residue and does NOT upset your stomach or give you any nasty burps or aside problems. I will be going right back to OMNI IV ASAP. Please try to better this product 🙏

One of the previous reviewers mentioned that you could just mix it with water. DO NOT DO THIS it makes one of the worst drinks I’ve ever had.
What I’ve started doing:
1. Put it in the fridge. Things go down easier when they are chilled.
2. Have a bottle of water/juice ready to chase your “shot”
3. Pour it into the cap get it all down and take a bike swig of water.
If you do this the taste is hardly noticeable at all. Now I don’t know if you could mix this in some sort of shake or smoothie and be able to get rid of the overpower vitamin taste. I have not tried that yet, but the way above works.
It’s a great source of low carb NATURAL whole food vitamins in a liquid form for people who do not want the nasty things they have to put in pills or just hate pills.
If you can take a shot of vodka you can do it once a day it’s not a big deal and very rewarding to your overall health.

Based on several negative reviews I was on the fence about GOL Vitamin Code for a couple of months. Vomit and gasoline. LOL. Really great, effective adjectives to scare one away.
Well, I’d read that liquid supplements are more readily absorbed by the body than their tablet counterparts and after my naturopathic doctor confirmed this, I started looking for a good brand. Whole Foods, Amazon and the Web. Nada, zilch, diddly-squat. As many of the reviewers have stated, finding liquid supplements without preservatives, synthetic vitamins/minerals, other questionable ingredients, has been impossible. Every one of them have preservatives such as sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, and a variety of other toxic ingredients. This bad news defeats the whole purpose of taking a “health” promoting product in the first place! Looking for a good-for-you liquid multivitamin was like searching for that proverbial needle in the haystack…until now, thanks to GOF. Not only does it not have toxic preservatives, the vitamins and minerals come in the form your body recognizes, such as folate instead of more popular and cheaper synthetic imposter–folic acid. The ingredients come from REAL organic fruits, vegetables, sprouted grains, and has NO added sugar. Read the ingredient list and be prepared to be impressed.
So I finally took the plunge, figuring that if it indeed tasted like “vomit and gasoline” I could easily return it. (Who drinks gasoline anyway?? Just say NO!). After shaking and opening my Fruit Punch bottle, I braced myself for what I assumed would be the drink of death, the killer drink that would make me want to swear and take Jordan Rubin’s name in vain. After swallowing quickly, chasing it with a small glass of water, and blinking a few times, I realized that I was OK, I didn’t want to puke. The negative reviews were wrong and almost kept me from buying this great product. Don’t misunderstand me, it is not delicious, but for those who are used to taking supplements and figuring not all that is GOOD for you has a flavor one craves, it was a pleasant surprise.
As an aside, name ONE liquid multivitamin that’s yummy-tasty, and I bet it is so because of some artificial, synthetic, sugary additive, and in THAT case I would run in the opposite direction of that company. They are not producing a product that is in your best interest, but their$. Of course, ideally we’d all be eating a purist diet, shock-full of all the nutrients we need. I try to eat lots of organic fruits and veggies, but if you’re like me, it doesn’t always consistently happen, and so this GOF product is good insurance that I’m providing my body the nutrients it needs to healthfully and gracefully age.
In addition, my husband took it yesterday. I had not mentioned the flavor factor, and watched wide-eyed, with anticipation. He, who normally doesn’t bother much with supplements, other than fish oil and vit C, took it and made no comment, no complaints. There you go. Proof. If he can take it, it doesn’t taste like vomit and gasoline, otherwise he wouldn’t mess with it. He likes the fact that this one product will save us money, replacing lots of other bottles in our cabinet, because it’s all in this one bottle.
