I have not had a lot of experience with bars such as this. I have ingested multiple other brands but never in much excess. This brand had a nice taste, but it wasn’t the best chocolate bar of this type i have had. It really had that protein taste that a lot of these products have and not cover up well. These are not bad by any means just be aware they are strong with that particular taste. This is a whole box of them so if you are trying these types of bars for the first time be cautious buying so many before knowing how they taste. I had a coworker try one and he felt the same about the taste as I did. They are pretty dense bars and work your jaw to chew. Overall, they don’t taste bad but they don’t taste the best. I would get these again if they were on sale for sure.

I initially was underwhelmed by this protein bar because I had unwarranted high expectations for these bars to be as crunchy/flavorful as a nestle crunch bar. However, after eating a few bars, the taste and crunch grew on me. Even though the crunch isn’t to the level of Nestle crunch bars, it is still respectable. The macros on these bars are also pretty decent with 15g of protein with creatine included. Would recommend.

I’ve been very skeptical of these types of bars that crop up on Amazon from time to time, and have thrown some away after just a few bites. This bar, on the other hand, was an absolute find. The macronutrients are just what I’d be searching for and normally I’m willing to sacrifice on flavor if a bar has enough protein, but this one wins on both counts – it actually tastes good! There’s a distinct almost-crunch to the bite which tells you this bar has substance, but it’s also easy to chew and swallow and at no point will you recoil thinking it’s got too much artificial flavoring to mask the protein grams or that it’s not authentic somehow. It tastes like a chocolate bar that’s meant to be good for you. I’m into it. Would totally buy these again, they’re a nice complement to my usual stores of Clif bars, Balance bars, Promax bars, and the like. 5 stars!

These protein bars, made with whey and creatine, are very easy to eat with a decadent chocolatey flavor, and I love that they’re not sickeningly sweet like most protein snacks. I’m sure there are people with a sweet tooth who’ll complain it’s not sweet enough, but these are not candies, and I hope more manufacturers will trend toward using fewer sweeteners in these health bars.
I’m not happy with the use of the relatively new sweetener allulose because it’s not yet approved in Europe and Canada, and it hasn’t been around long enough to be considered GRAS. The amount of sweetness in these bars could easily be achieved with more natural options that could be burned off with fewer effects on gut microbiomes. The side effect I noticed is that I experienced excess flatulence throughout the day, and this is a typical reaction I experience with sugar alcohol, although allulose is a rare monosaccharide found in small amounts in nature.
I say yes to whey and creatine with the delicious refined taste of the bars, but at $3.41 per bar, I would’ve preferred the whey to be organically grass-fed sourced and sweetened with a bit more sugar than the 1g it already includes, not allulose or other artificial sweeteners not friendly to the healthy gut microbiome.

When it comes to something like protein bars, I’m looking at three categories: Ingredient quality, taste, and value. I feel like these bars are hitting a solid single in all categories.
Do they have an amazing ingredient list? Not that I can see. And I do worry about where some of this stuff is being sourced.
Taste? It’s certainly not bad. Nor does it leave any after taste. But does it wow or excite me? Am I excited till I can have that next bar? No. It’s an okay bar that will get you a nice bit of protein and fiber. The fiber and protein is the reason to eat them.
And the value? That’s for you to decide. But for me, since they’re not hitting it out of the park in any of these three categories, it’s hard for me to get too excited.

Was excited to try these given the ingredient makeup and the proffer of some texture. I’m pleased to say that this bar really delivers. The bars are good, dense, and have a cocoa-like flavor to them. The overall texture is on the chewy side, but they aren’t tacky like some date-heavy bars are. The crunch? Well, I’m glad for any texture I can get and these are nice — similar to crackle-style bars, this has light flaky crunchy bits speckled throughout. You won’t confuse it for a candy bar, but I appreciate whenever I can get a little texture in my pre/post workout snack, as most bars are lacking in that department.
Would try again/and try other flavor combos.
