Osteoporosis is a complex thing, so I do all I can to build bone. On the nutrition side of things, I researched what needs to go into that task from the point of view of vitamins and minerals. This product reflects the mineral side of that research very well.
I can’t report on whatever increased bone density might have taken place from whatever positive habits I’ve developed, because three years ago, I stopped taking bone density tests. Since I have no plans to change anything I’m doing as a result of those tests, and since they only provoke my docs to insist on heavy bisphosphenate drugs, it makes no sense to do the tests. SO: I can’t substantiate that my density has increased. But I can say that my fingernails are doing better. Ever since menopause, for some inexplicable reason, the nails on my ring and middle fingers on both hands have been the worst. the others were weakened too, but not nearly as much. Now, after two years of taking supplements and eating very well, the healthier six fingernails are back to “normal,” and the “problem nails” are better, with far fewer of those awful splits that cause bleeding and bandaging once in a while. I can’t attribute that to all the weight and impact exercise that I do as my other major effort to build bone the way nature intended (mostly ballet and irish dance but also weight vests and belts), so I’m guessing it is the nutrition, including supplements. This product is the main thing I take on a daily basis, plus I take Vitamin K and all the others at the front of the alphabet.
I should also mention that these capsules don’t choke me! I will never again try to take any calcium tabs! I literally had to have my son do the Heimlich maneuver on me after attempting to swallow one of those. Never again!

I’ve been taking these capsules for a few years in an effort to stave off any worsening of Osteoporsis. I have taken a couple of tumbles in the house and haven’t broken any bones, but other than that I really don’t know if it’s doing any good. I hope so. I will continue to take these along with my Citracal Bone Density Calcium tablets just in case. They are a bit pricy, but hopefully they are doing the trick.

First of all, I have not been asked to write a review at all. This is an honest review: this product works miracles on my fingernails, about 2-months ago, one of my fingernails tried to grow with no succes, as a deep crack on its edge would prevent from growing more. This had happened for nine years, I tried every single nail product, buffing my nails, and different types of calcium including Strontium. I had given up on that fingernail clipping it as soon as it’s edge ruptured. My other fingernails had lost the first layer causing an aggravating dryness. I also tried lotions, etc, until I started taking this Koact product: I take one X 300mg, an hour or more than that, another 300mg, and later one Caltrate Calcium X 600mg, total 600mg of Calcium from Koact + 600mg calcium= there goes my daily dosage of 1200mg Calcium. I pray that Life Extension will continue this product because thanks to it, my nails are strong, again, the dryness is gone, and the annoying cracked edge of that nail is a thing of the past.

I broke my ulna two years ago which required plates and screws. I started taking this to see if it would help with the healing process. The pain went away and I figured it was exercise (always a good thing!) so when I ran out 2 months ago I didn’t bother reordering them. Until today, when my arm started hurting again. I’ll get a better idea when I redo my bone density test but for now I’m happy!
