Zyrtec and Claritin have not helped our 8 year old at all. He wakes up every morning snotty and sneezing like crazy and goes to bed the same way. After ONE day of using this, he woke up with a perfectly dry nose. No more sneezing snot rockets! He is able to do this himself and has even said how happy he is that he does not sneeze all the time anymore. My daughter used this many years ago and would wake up with nose bleeds but that has not happened with our son yet.
We are so happy we tried this and will continue to use it as long as he needs and his doctor approves.

My daughter has suffered from chronic congestion for a couple of years. I tried D-Hist Jr, which she hates and Snifflex, which she likes, but doesn’t seem to have much effect. After learning about the terrible effects of mouth breathing thanks to James Nestor’s book Breath and discovering the world of orthotropics, I finally caved and started the Flonase the doctor recommended. I continue to give her Snifflex daily, and it looks like she will have to be on Flonase long term, since we live in a high allergen area. It does really work. Her congestion is minimal to non existent since starting, whereas before it was almost constant. We also use mouth tape at night and myotape at time during the day to retrain her to breathe through her nose.

# My Review
This review is for Flonase Children’s Allergy Relief Nasal Spray – 24 Hour. We’ve tried many different forms of OTC allergy medicines/remedies (e.g. syrups, pills, sprays, etc.), for many kinds of allergies (e.g. seasonal, pollen, dust, and pets) that produce the regular symptoms throughout the year. After trying them all, we always end up going with this particular brand/type. You should always consult your doctor before taking any new medicine and should stop taking if you feel any adverse reaction after its use. Make sure to read the labels carefully and only take the recommended amounts suitable for your situation.
This Flonase Allergy Relief Nasal Spray comes packaged in a see-through tamper-proof sealed plastic blister casing that requires some major effort to get into. The product itself is very easy to identify with the branding and descriptions, benefits, etc. detailed in summary around the packaging. Once open, you get the bottled pump spray and the directions of use, ingredients, warning pamphlet included (read carefully).
The spray works as described; this children’s version is similar to the adult version with a lower dosage. This particular spray is non-drowsy which is good as you can take it during the day and it lasts 24 hours, so provides good day/night coverage. With up to 72 doses or sprays, if you spray once a day in each nostril this should last about 1 month. The results are good, it helps to reduce symptoms and with continued use it makes allergies a non-issue.
Overall, this is a well-known brand and good OTC allergy relief spray that works for children of ages 4 – 11 years old. I recommend.

In the past I have taken Claritin, but eventually I grew a tolerance. My cedar allergies got so bad that my mom finally drove me to our local CVS and bought this for me. I started using it and it has worked for me for 2 years now.
You do have to be fairly consistent when using this or it will not work. When you first start using this it may feel uncomfortable, but I have gotten very used to it and don’t mind the feel or smell what so ever.
