Back I go to the LG name brand. I’ve tried the off brands that claim to be as good or better than the refrigerator brand, but they’re just not. There are times I get funky tasting ice and water with them and I just don’t think they do as good at filtering. The only downside I have to the LG filters is that I have to run about a quart or 2 of water through them to get the “new” taste out, but that just shows they’re actually filtering the water. They’re worth a few extra $$ for the taste and peace of mind!

Works well for sure and definitely has good value for the money The lockability was perfect with no leaks as well as the fit was perfect with no leaks ease of insulation was very easy though I had to turn the water off to the fridge in order to do the installation And then air it out and run a gallon of water through it

Good filter. Have to figure out how to install it, but last pretty well. Best recommendation to get the water filter with the fridge filter, so get 2 separate filters to last much longer together.

Easy to install. Takes a little bit of wrist torque to install, twist and lock into place at the hard stops. Tips: Before ordering, take a look at the filter model number installed in your fridge to avoid ordering the wrong part (as we did). After replacement and flushing, get rid of the old ice in your ice maker tray, then wash and dry it so you have fresh filtered-water ice cubes. Clean water with old filter cubes will yield bad tasting ice water. Replace filter every six months. Our fridge has an indicator as to when to replace the filter but we can usually taste the decline in water quality after about five months. Because: Florida hard water.
