An ice pack should stay cold 20 to 30 minutes. These do not. They stay coolish, but not icy, for about 10 to 15 minutes.

You must get this before wisdom teeth pulled or any other tooth surgery! Helps to not have to hold an icepack and it did work well. Don’t put the headband in freezer just the ice packs! Gave first set away to friend and already bought second set! Would buy again if needed and these stay cold but not too cold!

I recently had to have all my teeth extracted and I have course before that was looking for pain relief for the mouth. So this icepack came up. I thought what the hell and bought it because I mean it couldn’t hurt right? I day after I come back from the dental surgeons. I bought a second one so that I would have eight ice packs that I could switch him out because the coldness constantly on my face. I don’t want to even think about what I would have felt like if I hadn’t have bought this icepack before my procedure I can tell you I wouldn’t have been able to get any sleep whatsoever for the first two weeks. This thing was actually absolutely awesome! I’m not gonna lie. I did have to change the ice packs out rather frequently. But that being said, I’m pretty sure some of that might have been because my face was rather warm due to the excessive swelling of having all of my teeth pulled. So like I said I bought a second one and I alternated ice packs frequently. I know for a fact it did save me quite a bit of discomfort.

Got two of these to use with my recent wisdom teeth removal. I had all 4 removed at the same time and these have been a huge relief to have. I got two after reading the reviews and the need to rotate that first 24 hours with ice packs as often as possible. I had a tooth that was not easy to come out and have had some minor swelling and these have really helped to keep it and pain to a minimum.
If you are having dental work these are with getting.
Love that they come with bags to keep them together in the freezer.

This was a life saver after surgery and is soft to the touch. You can keep a rotation of ice packs between use and freezer since it comes with four. The ice packs lasted about 20 minutes, which was the recommended time span for use anyway. If used for heat, try less microwave time at first to see if it’s sufficient.
