I have enjoyed great success with Hawaiian Spirulina. I anticipate the same kind of success with EyeAstin as well. All of their products are grown on the Kona Coast of the Big Island, not in China. Remember, China lied, Americans died.

I chose this after much research as to its product contents the ones I want should be in it. It arrived on time. But the other day I noticed some of the gel tabs were stuck to the side of the inside of the bottle. I tried to pry them with my fingers to loosen them then I noticed some orange liquidy stuff leaking out of the bottle all over the place that stained my hand and everything it got into. I guess that would be the astaxanthin in the supplement. I dont know what to do with them so I just left them alone and just be careful taking one out of the bottle everytime.

There are no words for this product other than it works extremely great! I would highly recommend if you have a problem with sensitivity to light, glaucoma, or if you just want health eyes. Also I have seen this product clear up bleeding on the eye. it is not the cure-all and I’m not a doctor. I have used this product for 2 years and it has given me back my eye sight.
Personally recommend that you take 2 at a time

I first started taking astaxanthin a couple of years ago as a sort of internal sunscreen (it’s meant to help your body prevent & recover from sunburn). Then I discovered it is also meant to be particularly effective against Alzheimer’s, which is strong in my family, so I kept taking it. Discovered EyeAstin when I went looking for a refill of astaxanthin, and thought, “Ah, I used to take bilberry for my eyesight and other things, let’s try it.” I had finally broken down & bought +1.25 readers and stashed them around the house and in my purse. About 50 days into taking one EyeAstin daily, I started to notice that I kept “forgetting” to put my glasses on, because I mostly didn’t need them. Impressive! And it costs about the same as plain astaxanthin, so I will definitely keep buying it.

June 1, 2017 Update. I still like this. Can only still give it 4 stars because of only 8mg Lutein in the formula. There is no concrete evidence that their astazanthin is sufficient to counterbalance Macular Degeneration. The definitive AREDS2 study still states 10mg Lutein. It seems to me they could up the amount of Lutein. I still buy another supplement that is the additional lutein I need. Taking this product alone and my vision reverts slightly back to MD symptoms of irregular central vision–not as much as if I didn’t take it at all, but enough to know that, for me anyway, EyeAstin alone is not sufficient. On the other hand, the other product is not sufficient for the rest of my eye problems and the challenge of long hours on the computer. EyeAstin really helps support computer vision fatigue. So together they are supportive of my vision needs.
Firm believer in vision Supplements. The national Institutes of Health AREDS2 study completed in 2014 reported need for 10mg Lutein + 2mg Zeaxanthin daily for support of macula, and reported decrease in drusen which are indicative of Macular Degenration (basically little holes in macula-these antioxidants seem to improve the macula so that drusen do not develop so quickly). Unfortunately, this product only has 8mg Lutein and 2 Mg Zeaxanthin. I’m not sure why the formula is not made to meet AREDS2 recommendations. That being said, this is an excellent all-round vision supplement. The variety of ingredients do an excellent job of supporting eye structures and vision. Early reports from my son after 3 doses he was seeing more clearly, less stress in bright and fluorescent light. Also less fatigue at work he is a welder and this product does an excellent job of supporting his vision under that significant stress. This formula also includes 6mg of Astaxanthin daily which is excellent. Supports eye ciliary muscle activity. But is also excellent for Cardiac muscle support. So double benefit. Bilberry and Eyebright are also important for vision. More studies have been done in Europe to support this-but they are often way ahead of the US. I personally am taking this for support of macula. We have an extensive history of Macular degeneration leading to blindness (as well as glaucoma) going back several generations. (Blindenss document back a 1000yrs on family tree-but of course they didn’t know the cause or have diagnoses until late 1800’s or so to now.) My husband has “dry eye” that is talked about on TV due to eye infection. He took that medication for several years until he could no longer afford. This works better and is significantly cheaper. Also has other benefits that the prescription medication does not. We all do better with computer screens and other CRTs since beginning this supplement. I have also noticed an improvement in my night vision. Now we each have different vision needs, and I can’t say that this will help you as well as it has our family. But, if you use computers or other electronic devices more than about 2 hours a day (and in this day and age, who doesn’t?) or you have family history of vision deficits related to disease thee this is probably worth a try. The usual conditions are Macular degeneration, diabetes, cataract, “dry eye”-which usually has the symptoms of eyes being truly dry, OR watering all the time; my husband’s poured out tears before beginning this product. Or, like my son you are welding or doing something that puts extreme stress on your eyes. these are all excellent reasons to provide extra vision support for your eyes on a daily basis. We noticed some results within a week to 10 days, but remember, these are supplements, and usually at least 3 months are needed to truly evalute effectiveness and see improvements. If you don’t have vision problems yet, but have potential for any of the above, or use CRTs, then these are a good hedge against staving off any of these problems. For those of us that should get full 10mg lutein and 2 mg Zeaxanthin, we can add those from another source. I would do that rather than not take this, because all the other ingredients in this supplement are excellent and are not found in this combination elsewhere (except perhaps Market America’s Prime Vision formula-but much more expensive that taking this and supplementing with extra Lutein and Zeaxanthin. Perhaps MD will read this and revise their formula. Also Deep green leafy veggies taken several days a week can also help meet the additional need, but it would take about 4 cups of kale a day to meet the AREDS recommendation-but one still doesn’t get the rest of the ingredients. So…. do your eyes (and heart) a favor and add this to your daily routine.

I am 81 and have diabetes, a bad combination for eyes. I am taking more than is called for, I take one or two after each meal, Crazy 4 to 6 a day, but I think my vision {cataract started in last year} is improving since I started, It was getting pretty fuzzy and now it is clearer. I believe each one of us is responsible for our own health and I believe this is one product among many especially among us oldies that will make a difference to support healing and life and in this case vision.
