We like using mushrooms for their different benefits. We even grow some and wild harvest in our woods. We also make our own extracts, and there are a few types. What they’re called is dependent on how they’re made. This Turkey Tail glycerite is called a tincture, which it is not. It’s made with glycerin, not alcohol. Both glycerites and tinctures are extracts, but they’re both different. Call it what it is.
There is also no country of origin on the label.
Perhaps most importantly, there is no amount on the label. It says to take 2 ml, but how much Turkey Tail is in that 2 ml? 10 mg, 100 mg? This could have 1mg per serving….which would account for the low price.

I thought this might have alcohol in it, since it’s labeled “tincture”, but it doesn’t. Works just fine in soap, and the benefits of topical use of turkey tail come right along with it. Good stuff.

This tastes earthy in that signature mushroom kind of way which I don’t hate. It’s also slightly sweet due to the glycerine content. It’s not a tincture as it’s not alcohol based so FYI. I like that it’s lab verified and that it’s made entirely with fruiting body of the mushroom. That said, it doesn’t really state the strength or the content of the mushroom itself on the label. Supplement Facts indicate 2mL as a single serving. Does this mean each serving equates to 2 grams of Turkey tail mushroom? Is it less or more? We don’t know and this may be the reason why it’s offered at the sub-average price of less than $10 at the time of writing. At any rate, I think the price does make it friendly for those that want to try without a big financial commitment but probably not for those who are already deep into Turkey tail already.
