As the owner of a huge Apricot tree in California and the user of them and store bought apricot kernels, the powder in these capsules does not taste like bitter type like I am used to. These taste very mild and a little sweet, maybe that is due to the added fillers that are listed on the bottle which are: Rice Powder, CompactCel* (Oat Fiber, Psyllium Husk, Potato Starch, Agave Fiber), Capsule (Pullulan). It also says they use hot water extraction for their process. I once got a bag of the sweet type kernels and this tastes similar.
The company responded to me stating that they are actually the bitter type seeds. Thus you should get the benefits of the bitter type like B17 and Laetrile but IMHO you may need to up the dose YMMV. Personally, I grind the raw kernels in a food processor till they are about 1/16″ granules and put them in a large vitamin bottle, and take a heaping tsp and chew on them for several minutes, your mouth will get numb and medicinally tasting, then swallow that. To me its medicine so I do not care about bitterness etc. My use is of the anti Can… properties and the sweet type kernels will not give you that as I have had those before and researched them.
As for the other benefits listed, I have no idea of these being efficacious for those things.
