I have used Mulungu before, this has absolutely none of the effects of it. It is a placebo/sugar pill.

I have made Mulungu tea from ground bark and am familiar with its efficacy (the claimed effects are reproducibly present and palpable; if you have to wonder whether Mulungu is working, it isn’t). I was looking for an easier delivery method, and decided to give this a try.
The instructions suggest “at least” 1-3 capsules. I tried up to six. No dose produced any noticeable effect at all in me, so I’m not sure how many you’d have to take to do so; six was as many as I was comfortable with. By comparison with even a low dose tea, I could only rate this product as a placebo (or so low in subjective efficacy as to effectively be one). There is a more palpable effect, in my opinion, from a standard dose of Valerian extract. It’s unfortunate, making Mulungu tea is time consuming and the end result tastes like mud so I had certain hopes for this product.
If you want effective Mulungu I can only suggest buying natural bark and brewing it; this is no substitute, not for me anyway.
Mulungu itself is not a nostrum or tame substance, it is a powerful herb whose effects are not qualitatively dissimilar to a mild prescription sedative. I will be unsurprised if it is eventually banned. It should be treated with respect and care; it is not something I would be taking on a daily basis or even a regular basis and I would treat claims of non-addictiveness with considerable scepticism. That said, I suspect this particular product is probably quite safe from that perspective.

Not sure if placebo, but I was relaxed enough to sleep after taking this. No noticeable changes in dreams. Perhaps need to take for a prolonged time to notice effects?

This works really well with lemon balm tea to relieve anxiety and aide in relaxing sleep. I plan to buy it again.

Don’t work for severe anxiety.

I’ve had insomnia for about 19 years and I’m now only getting 3-5 hours of sleep a night. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on different pills/remedies, and prescription drugs to treat my insomnia and none of them have helped me get 6-8 hours of sleep.
I recently read something about Mulungu root and how it can help those suffering from insomnia. I’ve been taking these pills for two days and I haven’t experienced any improvements in sleep longevity or sleep quality.
The first image is a picture of how much I slept last night. I tried to go back to sleep, but I was unsuccessful. It may make me feel sleepy, but it can’t keep me asleep.
This may work for other people, and I’m happy if it works for them, but I wasted my money again.

Gola Mulungu has an excellent combination of sedation and anti-anxiety effects.
