It does do what it was meant to do. It loosens mucus better than Musinex. However it gives me a terrible stomach ache (I tried it on two separate occasions just to be sure this was the culprit). I cannot use it. It should work well for others that can tolerate it.

I bought this because I have COPD and congestive heart failure, with a really bad mucus problem. This was recommended to me by a friend who is an RN, so I thought I’d try it. I found that the cheap mucus relief product I buy at the grocery store is just as good as this, if not better. Plus, this is very regimented since you have to take it either one hour before or two hours after you eat. That might work for some people, but it’s not for me. UPDATE: I didn’t request a refund, but the manufacturer read my review and contacted me to offer a full refund, which was accomplished quickly. THAT is good customer service!!!!! Because of this, I’m raising my star rating from a 1 to a 4.

I got this as a “just in case” item because of all of the viruses going around. I didn’t know that I would be NEEDING it a week after it arrived though. These enzymes work best on an empty stomach. As soon as my son woke up coughing tons of phlegm, I gave him these. He has no other symptoms and I am hoping it stays that way. For now, I am grateful to at least have these. I myself have taken other proteolytic enzymes by Enzymedica and the very first thing they do is clear out your lungs. This version is formulated for mucous so I don’t know that it will have any other benefits to it like their other proteolytic enzymes.

This product is absolutely amazing!!! I am now using it with my second cold. I will notice my sinuses and nose filling up and draining with mucus – then I take the two capsules and the crud and drainage clears up and I can breathe again!! Later in the cold process, I felt the cold moving into my chest with thickening mucous and the deep cough – took the two capsules and the chest cleared up with no mucous drainage into it – and the cough subsided!! So the is a natural enzyme combination that apparently goes to work to break down and clear out the mucous – working together with the body. With each cold now I have not felt miserable like I needed to take some medicine – I actually feel pretty good though just a bit draggy and tired. I never realized how much of the cold misery is related to the sinus pain and mucous drainage from nose, throat, and in the chest. This really seems like a miracle formulation!!! I am so happy to no longer need to take those medicines to stop the misery, but can take something that is really working with my body to improve the situation!!

Having had issues with my respiratory system since childhood, I frequently seek out new and effective ways to address my chronic conditions. I looked no further when I discovered ‘Enzymedica MucoStop’, here on Amazon. Yes, it absolutely works. It is remarkably effective, and with the first dose, too. The most pronounced benefit that has become evident to me is that when I’m asleep, I’m in a deeper sleep-state than before, due to the open nasal passages, enabling me to breathe more clearly and deeply [closed-mouth breathing]; breath after breath after breath….almost as if I’m in a meditative state. Since I began using this excellent supplement, I’m sleeping more hours per night, breathing more clearly and deeply. All in all, my whole body is regaining its strength due to receiving adequate oxygenation and rest. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? It is to me. I’d rather breathe really well all of the time, instead of taking in dinner and a movie, from time to time. But that’s just me. I would highly recommend this efficacious natural remedy for ‘free breathing restoration’, with NO SIDE EFFECTS! ‘Nuff said.

This is life changing stuff!!! You HAVE to take it on a completely empty stomach and wait 30-45minutes to eat, or take it about 2-3 hours after eating. It’s a little tricky but works wonders. Can feel my forehead pressure and ears/nose all open up. Can breathe fully from my nose and smell as well.
Also look into mucus forming foods. Especially white carbs I found for me created more mucus.

I have a BIG throat clearing problem . I can’t bring up the phlegm and constantly try . It comes on when I swallow too much at once, when food goes down the ‘wrong pipe’ , sometimes from dairy or too much sugar/chocolate, just about every day early am, from 4-5 on. I’ve tried everything , My Dr. has the same condition and couldn’t help, I’d also consulted 3-4 other Dr’s through the years, while they had a few suggestions, allergy drops, reflux meds, decongestants nothing worked. I’ve done a LOT of research, found some mucus clear drops on Amazon, They worked ok ( I gave them 3 stars) But these are far ans away the best I’ve used. Now when I wake up w the problem I take 2 and it cuts down 80% . I’m now able to ‘bring up the shtuff:) Iprob take them 2-3x a day and am totally delighted with the results. A touch expensive but SO worth it . BTW I sent the link to my Dr and will ask him his results
