I was skeptical but had heard that a friend had used this band to great effect. I decided to try it after doing a cruise through the Straight of Magellan and having some issue with the patch, which made me feel kind of gross. I’d prefer to not use something medicinal if possible and so, based on her recommendation, I decided to buy this wristband. It’s small, like a watch, and really discreet. The little shock it gives takes a little bit of getting used to, but when we went through some choppy Atlantic waters, I turned it on and it helped me make it through without any issue. I only ran it when I felt like I needed it and I suffered none of the gross feelings I usually get cruising rougher seas. Wish I’d had known about this earlier. I still carried patches and other meds with me just in case, but ended up not needing them. From what I can tell, at least for me, this was equally effective and I didn’t have to worry about taking a medication with side effects.

I don’t normally write reviews but those of you who suffer from motion sickness may understand that the need for something that works is real and there are a lot of misleading products. I bought this band for my trip to Disney World which included a 7 hour flight. The flight over had quite a bit of turbulence and my husband looked over quite a few times to check in on me as normally I would have become queasy to the point of vomiting (even if sleeping). I wasn’t bothered a bit and even managed to take a nap. The true test came when riding the Tron Cycle Coaster which accelerates from a stopped position to 60 mph plus in just a few seconds. Absolutely no issue. There were parts of the ride where I “knew” I should’ve been sick and waited for it to come, but ended up feeling just fine and was able to walk around the park to another ride. For reference, as a Disneyland Pass Holder we have had to leave early after my riding Star Tours and/or Incredi-Coaster just one time due to nausea. Each day I rode all of the E-Ticket attractions with little issue. The only time I had nausea was when riding Slinky Dog Coaster, which is a kids coaster and that was because I forgot to turn on the band. To save the battery I turned it off when not on a ride or when walking around, though I noticed it held a long battery life for the entire plane ride (only 1 bar decrease in 7 hours). I generally had it on setting 2 or 3 for smaller rides but went to the highest setting for rides like Tron, Expedition Everest etc. on the plane it was set at 3. You do experience tingling on the hand that you wear it (I found my left hand was better than right), and I did feel that at the end of the day that my pinky and ring finger felt a little stiff to move (not painful) but that went away after the band was off completely. Definitely worth the price to not get nausea and have to worry about sleepiness from taking meds.

Tired of motion sickness ruining your good time? So was I! I have suffered from car sickness my whole life and I have tried so many different products like Sea Bands, Dramamine, and Motioneaze aromatherapy but this EmeTerm Wristband is by far, the most effective! It is light, convenient, waterproof, and won’t leave you drowsy like most anti-nausea pills-which stinks if you are on vacation and trying to make the most of your time off. This is designed like a watch so it is easy to put on and take off yourself. I find that putting it on my left wrist seems to work better so I just switch my watch to my right hand when needed. I turn it on about 20 minutes before I am going to start moving in the car, boat, or plane. I like to set mine at the highest intensity level to be sure, but you might be fine at level 3 or 4. It sends little electrical pulses out which feels funny at first, and makes your pinky and ring finger twitch slightly, but it does not hurt. I am still not sure how this thing works but the important thing is that it does work! I just got my EmeTerm bracelet last month and have already gotten great use out of it. My son and I just went on a trip to New York City. I used it on the plane, in the taxi, and on the ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island-no nausea! no dizziness!

I had received the EMETerm original band as a Christmas gift a couple years ago because I’ve always been known for being the motion sick person. Growing up I always had to wear seabands on long road trips or if we were out on the boat.
I fell in love with this device! I found it really helpful to ease motion sickness. I actually wore it to help with my “morning” sickness (more like all day sickness) and I found it helped a bit but I found it worked really well when in the car.
Unfortunately, the wrist band on the original broke so I decided to upgrade to this version (which has a MUCH better wristband) and love it even more. I tried it out on a road trip last weekend and found I could actually look at my phone in the car or turn around and help the baby (when usually facing backwards is immediately nausea inducing)!!
I LOVE going out on the ocean but as soon as the boat stops and we start rocking I’m the person hanging over the edge of the boat. I can’t wait to try this out on our next family vacay!

I’m very prone to motion sickness in cars and even with driving at night with the lights. Having a history of vertigo, I’m very sensitive to feeling sick. This watch has been a true lifesaver. I can go about daily activities without worrying about feeling nauseous. When I was pregnant, this was really helped take the edge off any morning sickness that I had in the first trimester. I’ve since recommended this to a tonne of new Mums who have all been very grateful. I’m so glad this technology exists.
The lights on the watch are very bright though if you’re using it at night, which I do. I use two layers of black tape to cover it. It’s not pretty, but who cares when you can function!

This brilliant anti-nausea band is a must for every family and worth every penny. I get really travel sick, pressure bands and tablets don’t work for me and the emeterm has improved my life vastly, my family are adventurous and love sailing, long haul flights and road trips, now I can join them with a smile, knowing my travel sickness won’t ruin the trips. I have even lent the band to my mum when she went on a rough cruise in Norway. This is the second band I have bought after sadly leaving mine on an aeroplane, the upgraded strap is great and comfortable to wear all day. I only just received this, and wanted to offer some initial thoughts.
First thing I noticed is that the EmeTerm Explore is packaged very nicely in a small box that is clearly meant to minimize waste. Aside from two plastic seals, everything is paper. Even the USB cables are bound with paper instead of plastic loops, twist ties, or rubber bands.
There’s a lot more than I was expecting in the box: the Explore, two cleaning wipes, a tube of optional conductive gel, a sturdy carrying pouch, and two USB cables. I really appreciate that they included two cables, since it will be very difficult to replace if you lose one.
Could they have used USB-C? Sure, but ports take up a lot of room in devices, and also make it harder to waterproof them. A magnetic Qi charger would be an option, but would add to the size and complexity. This is a trade-off I’m okay with, especially since there’re a backup cable.
The instructions for using the Explore are simple and logical. The one-button control is a little cumbersome, but once you read the instructions it’s easy to remember how it works. Hold to turn it on and off, tap to increase strength, and double-tap to decrease strength. While testing it, I haven’t needed to use the conductive gel.
The Explore lights up every time it pulses, and I could actually do without that. It’s a little distracting to have a bright LED go off every few seconds on the inside of my wrist.
The strap is a standard 20mm silicone band, which means that you can replace it with any 20mm band you can find on Amazon. You’ll want to do that, because it’s really awkard trying to tighten a traditional strap on the outside of your wrist. I picked up a blue Tasikar silicone magnetic band, which is super easy to put on and very secure (I use a similar band for my Galaxy Watch 4). The blue isn’t an exact match to the Explore, but it’s close enough.
f course, none of this matters if the Explore doesn’t help my motion sickness, but it feels like a thoughtful and high-quality product, which gives me confidence. I can’t say I’m looking forward to getting motion sick so that I can test it, but I’ll be sure to update this review afterwards.

I’ve been sailing for 15 years but always suffer from seasickness which usually results in me sleeping until it’s all over.
I can’t put into words how this band has completely changed my experience. I no longer get seasick and am thoroughly enjoying sailing. I can even go into the cabin and make a cuppa without any problems. Really delighted. The band is compact with good straps which are made from a lovely soft plastic. I just seem to need it on level 3 which works for me. That just gives a gentle pulsing. There are 5 settings.
Says it has a 40 hour battery life which will be excellent for long trips and comes with a USB charger, connectivity gel and little storage bag. Great navy colour too.

This is my second unit. I started with the mini. I used the mini on level 3 or 4. I am able to use level one with this unit, the explore. I am using it for morning sickness, and it does help. My mileage does vary from totally eradicating to sickness to making it manageable. Overall, I would purchase again.
Wear: It stays in put pretty well unless I really slop on the conductor gel. I find that I wear it a little higher than indicated on the instructions. I suggest you really play with the placement before moving up a level of intensity. For me, the sensation took some getting used to. I don’t even notice it anymore. The materials don’t pinch or scratch at any points.
Quality: The unit and the accessories all come packaged nicely. The unit itself feels well made. My only minor complaint is that the round button that controls the unit isn’t quite centered in the hole. It doesn’t affect functionality and most people probably wouldn’t notice.
Ease of use. The operation is basic and straight forward but adequate. My only minor complaint is that the button can sometimes be hard to push just right. Though, this is preferable to the alternative of a button that is easily and accidentally engaged, especially with its prominent location on your body. All that to say, it could very well be by design that the button takes some effort. I use conducting gel for every use. I also wipe down my wrists. Two cleansing cloths are provided. I got lots of use out of them and then switched to witch hazel pads when they finally ran out.
Price Point: Everyone’s mileage varies on this, but the value is there for me. Of course, I would rather pay less. But, I have paid more for less and the relief it provides is invaluable. I also really appreciate the spare charging cord! It is proprietary. I have never seen anyone provide two cords, so this is additional value that justifies the cost. The carrying bag is also nice as it fits the gel and cleansing cloths.
