Good feeling on face but such a cheap perfume stink (and it stank up the whole bathroom besides) too hard to take. Have already ordered another facial soap to replace after only 2 days (and much less expensive). This one goes in the trash because cheap fragrances never seem to wear out unlike fragrances that are actually lovely.

I have not used soap on my body in 45 years. I use a non-soap or a cleansing bar such as this one. The best for the money is Aveeno but sometimes I try a different brand such as this one. I like it. It feels nice. The best part about using non-soap cleansing bars? At 65 years old I don’t have a single wrinkle on my body and no soap scum build up in the shower. Soap is very bad for your skin.

I am 52 and live in one of the driest spots in the US. I am always looking for skin solutions. I am so glad I ran across this one. I keep it in a soap dish and swipe my damp washcloth across the top of it. This product is going to last “forever” – at least 6 months I think. I love how my skin feels after use and it does a fair, not great job of makeup removal. It gets all of the foundation, etc off, but I need a seperate product for mascara. I’m ok with that.

This bar is PERFECT. I’ve spent a lot of money over the decades trying to find the absolute best for my skin and I believe I’ve found it in this bar. Embryolisse point out that this is a ‘cleanser’ rather than a ‘soap’ and while I admit that I don’t know the technical difference, it seems to me that you have the absolute best of both worlds in this cleansing bar. I like the freshness, the thorough clean, clean rinse sensation, economy and lack of plastics that bars give. But I don’t like tightness or stripping. This bar leaves me feeling wonderfully clean and fresh but seriously hydrated, cared for and comfortable afterwards. This is a perfectly balanced luxury cleanser at a seriously good price given how long the bar lasts.
This bar gives an elegant start to the day and is the perfect second act in a double cleanse finishing off any oily residue or makeup. The cotton I use for my toner comes up clean but again, my face feels extremely comfortable, hydrated and not stripped. Great, great cleanser and no plastics!

I’ve finally found the facial bar that works the best for my morning and nightly double cleansing needs. The Embryolisse Gentle Cleansing Bar bar is great for my easily reactive, sometimes sensitive, face.
I use actives (AHA/ BHA/ Vit C) regularly and I find that when my allergies hit me really hard, my skin requires some extra TLC. Being that I also use sunscreen, not washing my face thoroughly before bed is not an option. This is excellent as a gentle second cleanse that leaves my face soft without leaving painful dry/ irritated patches. Many other comparable facial bars tend to use some form of lactic acid that acts as a mild exfoliant, that seems to be a little too harsh for my skin. I already use actives for that very purpose and I don’t want that in a mild facial bar. This is the best facial bar to have on hand that perfectly fits the bill.
My only (minor) complaint is the fragrance. It has a bit of an old lady scent that comes off rather strong in the box but, fear not, it doesn’t smell on your face.
I highly recommend this bar to anyone with normal/ dry skin that wants a clean, softening facial bar that isn’t made with a lot of questionable ingredients, or that doesn’t cost a lot. The bar lasts a good while so the cost makes sense. Compared to many other high quality facial bars, the size to cent ratio is pretty good.

Omg please never discontinue this soap. I’m devoted to this soap for life. It’s totally gentle – does not dry your skin out nor strip it of moisture – yet still cleans thoroughly. Even though my skin is on the oilier side most soaps are way too harsh for it. This cleanser moisturizes while it cleans. It has very few ingredients, is fungal acne safe (if that applies to you), and will not break you out. Also, one bar will last you well over a year if you get a soap saver. I use the bar I bought last February daily and still have a good bit left. I double cleanse with an oil cleanser first and follow with this and I have the softest and happiest skin. The lovely scent and creamy lather are simply luxurious. Get this soap, you won’t regret it.
