I gotta say, I really like this product! It smells really good and fresh so it makes it enjoyable to breath in the light fragrance while cleansing my skin. It removes my makeup well, and foams up just so slightly. It doesn’t dry my skin, leaves it feeling great. Hey, I needed a new face wash and got tired of the same old drug store brands, so thought I’d try this. Especially since it had good reviews. I’ll definitely continue to purchase this face wash. Also, I like that it’s a pump. It makes it easy so I don’t have to unscrew a cap or flip a top open. Just good and simple. Perfect really. And a good price for a nice product! I like the packaging too. It looks nice next to my sink. 🙂

Wonderful face wash in that it cleanses deeply and rinses very clean, without irritating eyes or drying skin out. But I noticed that this so-called product contains fragrance… I was surprised and disappointed to see that, since synthetic fragrance is a toxic ingredient I choose to avoid. Had to deduct 2 stars for the unnecessary inclusion of chemical fragrance. I should have checked the ingredients list before buying, since not all products that hype up their “natural” status are all that natural! I will be finishing up my bottle, but will not be re-purchasing.

I have combination skin (oilier t-zone and acne prone) and have used just about every cleanser – from drugstore to department store – that a person can use. I’ve finally settled down with Earth Science! It’s not drying, makes me feel like I have a smooth and oil-free canvas for makeup in the morning, and removes makeup really well (I’ve used it with a Clarisonic brush and without, and either way I’ve never had any residue on my towels) at night. I also love that this product is from a natural line – I’ve been trying to “green” my routine and I’ve worried about the efficacy of natural products, but this one is fantastic. I started using it with the ES Clarifying Herbal Astringent and the Almond Aloe moisturizer, and both of those have been wonderful at managing oil without stripping my skin, too. I bought my first bottle at Whole Foods for about $12 and it lasted FOREVER, but it’s slightly cheaper from Amazon and I’ve started purchasing from here instead when I need refills. For the price and the quantity you get, it’s definitely worth a try!

I decided to stop using my regular face wash that I have been using for about ten years now because I’m just getting clued up about the dangerous chemicals in cosmetics. I decided to try Earth Science since they’re supposed to be ‘safe’ but I was worried because I’m used to those bead things that scratch your face and exfoliate it. This doesn’t have any of those so I was convinced my face wasn’t getting clean enough and that I was going to start breaking out or something. But it’s all gravy. This facial wash has been great and I don’t feel the need to go back to my old product. I highly recommend.

This is my favorite face wash. I recommend it all of the time. It is very affordable and gentle on the skin. I am 33 years old and it doesn’t dry me out, in fact, I always feel very renewed and refreshed after using it. It has a subtle sweet smell and rinses off without leaving any residue whatsoever. Follow it up with a natural moisturizer or oil and you’re good to go! I never have breakouts using this product and get constant compliments on my skin. So much better for you than the OTC chemically laced products that can dry you out and leave your body producing extra oil to make up for the difference. This product allows your body to keep its natural oils and renew wash after wash. I use it morning and evening. It gets my makeup off too 😉

I was using Neutrogena face wash before I decided to try something new – which was necessary, because even though I have oily skin, Neutrogena still managed to dry my face out, which resulted in my face producing even *more* oil than usual, which just wasn’t acceptable for me. Too gross, and sometimes resulted in breakouts.
That said, I love the scent of this product. It’s not nearly as harsh or chemical-smelling at Neutrogena. It absolutely washes my face, but it doesn’t dry it out and make it feel stiff like Neutrogena did, either. My face (seriously, people, *very* oily naturally), has been producing less since I’ve been using this. It also makes my face feel baby-skin smooth, which I adore. I plan on using this product for the rest of my life, because I think it’s that great. It may not work so well with other types of skin, I don’t know. If you have anything other than oily skin, I would recommend finding someone who has your same skin type before deciding whether or not to purchase this product.

i found this facial wash at Fred Meyers, but found it cheaper on amazon so i will buy in bulk now. I am 24 and still break out.. i find my pores get clogged very easily. This face wash cleans my face so much better than past facial washes that i spent way too much for, it didn’t dry my face out AS MUCH as past facial washes, and seems to get down into by pores better. i would like it better if it had a little bit of an exfoliate. I still need to try the toner and moisturizer.

What else do you need? The ingredients aren’t gross (on the contrary, I’m always transported to a magical hippie place when I glance at the label), it smells expensive (I know, I’m shallow), it makes my oily skin feel completely refreshed and clean without the squeaky-gross feeling that the big brand facial cleansers tout. It lasts forever (only one half-pump is needed) and it’s exceptionally well-priced for the quality.
It works well at removing makeup and oil, yet is extremely gentle and non-drying. I follow with their toner and also am a huge fan of the Earth Science face mask (peel). I’ve noticed a definite difference in the clarity of my pores and I have fewer breakouts as well (I have very sensitive, acne-prone skin but I’m in my thirties. Which is a lot of fun!)
I switched back to the Dermalogica face wash last month because I happened to be in the mood to blow money that I don’t have, and I must say, I prefer this stuff any day.
