The reason I like to take Ashwagandha is for its ability to promote calmness, serenity, and a sunny disposition. When I saw these drops available, I decided I would like to give them a try, because I knew that they would be easier for me to take than capsules. For those who may not know, Ashwagandha is an ancient medicinal herb from India known to have neuroprotective properties. These are stressful times for many of us so having easy access to an herb like Ashwagandha is a definite advantage. Why do I enjoy taking them? Aside from providing me with a feeling of calmness, I find that Ashwagandha provides me with a sounder, deeper sleep at night and may have the added benefit of strengthening my immune system. These drops are alcohol-free and sourced and produced in the United States. The serving size is two bulb squeezes of the dropper with each bottle containing a total of 48 doses. The drops are supposed to have a fast rate of absorption with a 1:4 extraction ratio, which I do find to be true from my own experience with them. The taste is pleasant and mildly sweet. These drops have not been officially evaluated by the FDA, so you may wish to consult with your healthcare professional before taking them.

I take it at night and it relaxes me so I can sleep. I usually sleep about 3 to 4 hours a night. With this, I’m sleeping 5-6 hours.

My husband loves taking adaptogens; he’s been on Ashwagandha, on and off, for years and years. I don’t touch the stuff but he finds it beneficial. Some people say it’s a mood booster; he hasn’t necessarily noticed that but he does claim it helps reduce his stress level. He’s primarily taken it in capsule form and he’s never had a low odor, alcohol-free liquid version like this one. The recommended dose is 2 droppers full. Taste wise, he says it’s a little flowery, vegetal and sweet; says it reminds him of a light honeysuckle. He reports a bit of a slick mouth feel but it has no horrid astringent or burning sensation like with some other liquid supplements he’s tried. Water and vegetable glycerin are the only other ingredients.
This is made in Boulder, Colorado. It’s actually sourced *and* manufactured there, not just “crafted” by an American-owned company (I’ve fallen for tricky language in this department in the past). The box comes sealed, as do the 2 bottles. The expiration date on the bottles match the date on the box—in Oct 2022 our 2 bottles are good through 6/2025. I have not done a deep dive into this brand so cannot truly vouch for the purity or quality, but unlike some other supplements/vitamins we’ve recently gotten through Vine, this doesn’t feel like a fly-by-night company. But of course it’s tough to write reviews for certain health supplements because only with extended use can you really determine the benefits. It’s a so far, so good situation.

If you are not already taking an ashwaganda supplement, I highly recommend that you look into the benefits of doing so. Ever since introducing it to my normal everyday supplement routine a few years ago I have never gone back and I will never go another day without taking it. I have seen tremendous results since beginning to take it, especially in the area of decrease in my anxiety.
There are several ways to take ashwaganda. You can either take it straight as a powder, in a capsule or tablet form or in liquid form, like we have here. In my experience, this liquid form is the best way to take it because your body is able to absorb it much more efficiently. It has a higher absorption rate and I seem to experience the benefits quicker.
This is a good tasting formula. You can take it just straight on your tongue if you wish but I prefer to add it to my morning coffee. It blends in just fine that it doesn’t change the flavor profile of my coffee at all.
