My 9-year-old daughter has always gotten motion sickness, so we knew we needed to try something for a 17-hour road trip. After reading reviews, I decided to wait until she had something to eat in case it caused any side effects on an empty stomach. A mere 40 minutes into the trip, both she and her younger brother announced they weren’t feeling well, so I gave them both some food and one pill each. I think it takes about 30 minutes to kick in but I’m not exaggerating when I say there wasn’t a single additional complaint the rest of the day (10 hours of driving in all, in mountains nonetheless). The next day, they both took some before we hit the road, and again, not a single issue – both of them said they felt great. I will be sure to have these on hand from now on.

I have a very sensitive gut and when i take these on an empty stomach i sometimes get a faint burning sensation for 20 minutes max. that being said, NOTHING has ever helped me with carsickness besides dramamine. i don’t want to take the drowsy version and always opt for the herbal remedy when possible and these work just as well as the drowsy version in my experience. they are absolute horse pills though. i mean they’re as long as half my pinky finger and equally girthy. sometimes they get stuck in my craw and i burp pure ginger for an hour. the human experience is multifaceted and twinkly

I bought this because it is the only dramamine that is advertised as fully non-drowsy and came with more in a bottle and I needed it to last for 2 weeks of travel with a lot of long car rides. It definitely worked but make sure you take it about 30 mins before you need it so it has time to kick in. Make sure you eat something before taking it! Even only a small amount of food helps. I took it one day without anything in my stomach and it made me extremely nauseous, but I was fine when I ate before. The first time I took it, it did make me keep burping up a weird taste but that only happened the first one or two times taking it.

I took this and threw it up and it lit me on fire
It felt like I had eaten ghost pepper it burned my face and I could not hardly breath from burning up my throat nose face and mouth. Never again

It’s important to take this at least an hour before the bus ride. I made the mistake of taking it while on the bus and it didn’t work, and I got sick. On the way back, I took it in advance and it did work. It was rough with the stop and go traffic, but it held up and I made it without incident (11 hours).

This natural ginger version is literally crushed ginger in a capsule. This is not the original formula that actually helps with motion sickness.
I assumed it will be the original formula with a hint of ginger, but I wrong. Absolutely no effect on motion sickness. Regret buying this.

I ordered this before going on a trip when I knew I would be flying. The capsules taste very mildly of ginger. It worked very well, I was not nauseous at all!! I also took it before we went out on a boat – I wasn’t sure if being on the boat would give me motion sickness or not, since only flying on airplanes has caused it so far, but I took it just in case. I recommend trying this version if you want non-drowsy and non-chewable. I will definitely use it again the next time I travel!!

I had this for a long flight (20 hours between connections), and it was really good, especially for traveling alone, I wanted to prevent nausea and to avoid the after effects present in the other form of Dramamine. However, timing is really important. In the directions on this product there is reference to only using a certain amount of pills for a period of time and because one of my flights got delayed I couldn’t have more than the recommended amount which I ended up being sick.
Some more information: the pills did not upset my stomach, just make sure you read the instructions and follow the recommendations when taking it.
The pills appearance is an ok size. Having water with that is always good. Lastly, I consider a good price for the amount of pills in the box.
