Almond bliss, not runny. I have purchased this MULTIPLE times. It’s my favorite hand soap for my bathroom. Cleans makeup off my hands with ease and smells fabulous. The other “Dr.” brand of similar soap clogs up my soap dispenser. This one does NOT. I love it!!!

Smells great and works well for washing hands.

The soap is mild and moisturizing but I wish it smelled more of almonds.

First thing someone should know is that this soap doesn’t really lather. People might have the impression that those bubbles removes the dirt and bacteria from your skin, but it doesn’t. A lot of lather in a soap can even be an indication that there are a lot of harsh chemicals in the soap that actually dry your skin out. I turned to this soap in hopes of my skin not being so dried out because this soap lacks those chemicals, which gets me more to the point …
I looked like a walking ash heap. It looked like someone had smoked a million cigarettes and dumped all the ash on me. My clothes had so much dead skin in them that you could see it when I peeled my clothes off. My skin was so dry that the Saraha asked for it’s sand back. Seriously … my skin was so dry that I spent more time moisturizing and itching than I did anything else. I have tried all different kinds of body washes, bars of soap, drinking a ton of water per day, wearing gloves to do dishes, lathering my body with junk that didn’t work, body butters, moisturizers, oils, and even doing rinses with apple cider vinegar and water. I even got so desperate that started to use a baby brush to try to get all the dead skin off me and moisturize afterward. All that did was cause me to get a rash and my skin cracked and bled. My doctor prescribed AmLactin and Lac-Hydrin to no effect. Seriously, my body has been so messed up for so long that I had really given up. Then one day …
I saw a flash sale here on Amazon for this body wash, the “Dr. Woods Pure Almond Liquid Castile Soap,” with organic Shea butter and just ordered without even thinking because there was a timer on it. It only took two days to get here. I used it that very night before I went to bed. I could tell a difference immediately. Yes, no lather. Yes, the scent is strong, but light after you rinse. The one thing I can tell you is that my skin, even after one wash, didn’t look ashy. It looked refreshed and it looked healthy. If you knew me, you would think that was impossible. I have been battling this severe dry skin for over a decade now. It hasn’t cured my hands, but I think after harvest season it might even fix them. Seriously, no harsh chemicals, smells great, and got rid of my dry skin all over my body but my hands … I cannot say enough good things about this soap. I really cannot stress how many thousands of dollars I have spent on over-the-counter and home remedies that all fell short of what this little bottle of Dr. Woods soap did for me. Everyone said I got my glow back. This may just be the soap for you if you don’t require soaps that lather up a lot. I know people love lather because we’ve been conditioned to think that it’s necessary, but truly, it isn’t.

The smell on this is heavenly but compared to Bronners, this does not suds up the way I like. I will not repurchase unless it does something exceptional for my skin since this stuff is pricy.

I tried this product out of curiosity, and I’m glad I did. The scent is wonderful and the lather is perfect. I refilled some bottles that I had from another product and used it the same way, as a foaming soap. Does not dry your hands out, very creamy and smooth feel. Makes your hands feel wonderful while smelling great! I’m very happy I tried this soap, also comes in a nice large bottle that will last a long time. Follow directions on how to make foam soap, if you don’t already know how. You can also look up on Google how to make foam soap, and do what I did, refilling a bottle I already had. Bottles need pumps.

Scent and lather are great! This is in the top three of castile soaps that I’ve tried, and I’ve tried about six brands. Way better than the other Dr. brand in both scent, feel, and moisturization. Highly recommend.

This castile soap by Dr. Woods is excellent. I have been using castile soap for over ten years, and Dr Woods is always the brand that I use. If you like Dr Bonner’s castile soap, then you will definitely love the Dr Woods brand soap. I have tried nearly every version of the castile soap that Dr Woods produces, and they are all equally great.
Furthermore, the price difference between Dr Woods soap, and any of their other competitors, is very significant. Every year I purchase at least several gallons worth of the Dr Woods 32 ounce castile soap bottles. Probably around four or five gallons worth, each year.
This soap is very gentle, yet very cleansing — and completely natural. And each of the different versions of their castile soap smell excellent on top of that. I frequently smell them in my hand, before I add water, because I love how they smell — it’s like aromatherapy. And I use their shea butter castile soap as my shampoo. I recommend all of their different versions, including their black soap, which I frequently use as shampoo for my hair.
One thing to keep in mind, is that the shea butter versions of their soap, does not smell quite as strong as their non-shea buttter versions do. That’s probably due to the extra shea butter ingredient included in the shea butter soap. If you want the strongest smelling version of their soaps, stick with the non-shea butter versions. But either way, ALL of their castile soaps smell great.
Furthermore, this soap is produced right here in the USA, and Dr Woods is a family owned company that produces it, so I enjoy giving my business to great hardworking American family owned companies.
If you’re looking for great castile soap that smells great, and leaves your skin feeling moisturized, and you want to obtain it at the best and fairest possible price, then you definitely would do well to begin using the Dr. Woods brand castile soap.

I bought this as castile soap seems to be the only soap that helps my back acne, I used to use another popular brand but decided to try this one instead. This is better in my opinion as it still helps my acne without stripping the skin. Leaves my skin feeling soft and clean.
