If you’re looking for a supplement to help improve hair, nail, and skin quality, collegen may be a good option to consider. Dr. Tobias Collagen Peptides is an easy way to get your daily dose of collagen without having to swallow large capsules multiple times a day. The powder easily dissolves in liquid, has little to no flavor, and works just as well as the capsule form. I added a spoon of collagen to my coffee and I could barely taste the powder – the only real indication that there is collagen in the coffee is a barely detectable flavor of gelatin, and honestly, I think I only detect it because I know it’s there. The powder dissolved very easily and didn’t clump up at all. You can also add it to smoothies, soup, and other beverages, although I would recommend against adding it to tea. I tried it in tea and the gelatin flavor was a bit more prominent, It wasn’t unpleasant per se, but the flavor was definitely much more noticeable. This is completely a personal preference as tastes will vary. The amount of collagen you can add is up to you, although 2 scoops (20 grams) is the recommended amount according to the serving size. Overall, it’s a good option if you’re looking to take collagen in powdered form.

I started taking Collagen powder in my drinks about three months ago from another brand I got on Amazon, and I have to say that I am now a forever user. My hair, nails and skin have all improved. This collagen I got for my daughter who is 34 and has been using Collagen powder for about seven years and absolutely looks great with thick long hair and great skin. I got her this brand specifically since she otherwise has to forego getting this in favor for a cheaper brand, so this is a treat and one she is happy to get. I don’t know if there is a difference in what price you pay or what brand you use. I do know that I am using a new less expensive generic type of Collagen and I do have to take double the amount than she does with this more expensive, known brand so maybe in the end it all evens out. The same results though. Collagen apparently is collagen just different kinds and prices and brands but in my amateur opinion each gives same results. Definitely recommend this! The price may seem more expensive when compared to some others but you only need half the amount so I also suggest comparing the daily dosage and see that it may just break even.

I like that it’s non gmo and gluten free although I wouldn’t expect gluten in a bovine collagen powder. I also like that it’s derived from grass fed bovine. It mixed well in my coffee and it is flavorless. I do like how collagen powder gives coffee a full bodied, richer mouth feel. The container was double sealed so the packaging is serious on safety. I feel for the price there are other options that some of my family members really enjoy (they are flavored). I will continue to use it and see if it lives up to the claims. I’ll update if not.

This collagen was super super hard to open – the pull tab broke apart, it’s a thin strip of plastic that runs in a groove around the whole canister; I had to dig it out with a knife tip only to have it break a second time — man. However, that is the only reason for it getting 4 stars not 5. Everything else is great. It’s a nice generous size, so will last me awhile. The collagen is a fine powder, as you’d want it to be, it comes with a scoop inside, it dissolves easily in water. It has no taste and no sweetener added. It wasn’t even noticeable at all in my morning smoothie. Perfect. Fix the container so it opens easier and I’d definitely give it 5 stars.

I’ve used Dr. Tobias supplements in the past. It’s a reputable brand, that I trust. This product seems to be a good quality, grass fed collagen. I add one scoop to my morning tea. It dissolves well, and there’s no change in flavor. I also add it to oatmeal, soup, and other hot dishes. I like that it’s so versatile, and has no taste. The scoop was buried in the bottom of the powder, so I used a fork to get it out.
Like most collagen powder, it doesn’t dissolve well in cold drinks, unless you use a hand mixer or blender. It contains type 1 and 3 collagen, which are the most abundant types in the body. They are beneficial for hair, skin, nails, bones, muscles, teeth, etc.
The price is higher than other brands, but the servings size is also twice as much, providing 20 grams of collagen, where most provide 10 grams. I’m very happy with this product, and would order it again.
