I love this stuff! I decided to get it because I have been seeing a lot of reviews about the snail essence or slime. This is a very thin based like a liquid similar to water. You simple add a bit to the palm of your hand and then gently pat it into your skin after you have washed and dried your face. I noticed after my first use of this stuff my skin immediately felt much softer. With repeated use I am seeing the elasticity improve and my skin is staying hydrated better. I use this before my moisturizer and follow this with my serums. The first time I used this, I just washed my faces and applied this. I wanted to see if it would do anything at all. I had my doubts and I have to say it blew them away. I highly recommend this!

The Dr G Royal Black Snail ampoule is an ampoule I love using on my face! This is 6-star product in my book. First, it smells nice. It actually has a pretty scent to it, which I really appreciate. If I am putting a product on my face and I can smell it, I want it to smell nice, and this one does. I arrived beautifully packaged in a lovely box, great for gifting. The writing on the box is easy to read and a nice font size so it does not require reading glasses. There was a lot of thought placed into the presentation and the does dry and get absorbed quickly (under a minute). It does have a very slight feeling of an ampoule, a little bit of a film feeling which does seem to go away after some time, but once I put my moisturizer on top it is gone. I like the product and how it makes my face feel. It does not tell you the percentage of the active ingredients it contains however I like how it goes on my skin and makes it feel. I have had no reactions to the product at all.
I think this is well priced for the quality, feeling and presentation of this product and I love using it. The box has security stickers on both the top and bottom of the box it arrives in. Made in Korea

This is a review for: Dr.G Royal Black Snail Retinol Ampoule, 30ml
This is in a very nicely, well packaged box – though the bottle itself is plastic (would have been nice if it was glass). It is a pump bottle. The ampoule is a thicker serum with an off-white color and a flower-y scent. I’m not too big of a fan of this scent, it kind of reminds me of older womens’ skin care?
It does linger a bit, so if you are not a fan of scents, you may not like this.
It more or less glides on skin, and feels what snail mucous would feel like. It absorbs fairly quickly and does leave a slightly sticky (mochi) feel that’s not too bad (doesn’t make hair stick to your face).
It feels quite nice on my very dry skin, leaving skin feeling moisturized. I did not experience any redness, irritation or breakouts after using this product.
Overall, this seems to have interesting ingredients (snail, royal jelly, honey etc) and would make a wonderful ampoule especially to use during colder seasons to settle dry skin.

I’ve been using the Dr.G Black Snail Retinol Ampoule for a few weeks now, and while I haven’t seen any dramatic changes yet, there are definitely things I like about it. The serum is lightweight and absorbs quickly, which is perfect for my nighttime routine. I love that it comes with a dropper; it makes applying the right amount so easy and keeps everything hygienic.
The formula feels hydrating without being sticky, and my skin does feel soft after applying it. I was a little nervous about the retinol, but it’s been gentle on my skin—no irritation, which is a huge plus. There is a light fragrance, though, which isn’t my favorite. It’s subtle and hasn’t caused any issues, but I usually prefer unscented skincare products.
As for the snail mucin, I was expecting that slightly slimy texture, but this feels smoother, almost like a regular serum. So far, it’s been good for hydration, and I’m hopeful that with continued use, I’ll start to notice more visible improvements. Overall, it’s a nice addition to my skincare routine, especially if you’re looking for a gentler retinol product.

I really like the black snail mucin essence from Dr. G. I’ve used other Dr. G products and have always been a fan of their products. The essence had a light weight consistency almost like water. There is a light scent that smells nice (at leas to me it does). Once the serum absorbed, my skin didn’t feel tacky or sticky, and I didn’t have any skin irritation either so I thought it was pretty gentle on my skin. What I like about this serum is how hydrated and soft it made my skin after using it. I have dry skin and thought the moisture-feel lasted for several hours. The best part about this serum is that it’s so light weight that it can be combined/mixed with other serums. For the size and price point alone, it’s definitely worth me getting again, but I really like the way this essence feel on my skin.

I’ve tried a few of the most popular snail mucin products out there, but this has been my favorite essence so far. The weather has been so dry lately and it makes my skin even more dry. Adding this essence to my skincare routine has been the key difference in helping my skin through this dry weather. I have noticed that my skin feels softer and more moisturized when I wake up and throughout the day ever since I have been using this in my morning and night routine.
