I have a hormonal imbalance and I notice that if I do not take Pregnenolone along with my thyroid Rx, within a few days I notice a brain fog come over me. I feel the light inside me begin to dim. I place the pills under my tongue until they dissolve. I tried 2 other brands and the pills are not dissolvable under the tongue. All 3 brands, when I take with water do not work for me. I only tried for a few days though and supplements take several weeks to work. I love the DL brand bcuz this supplement really works for me if i dissolve the pills under my tongue. 😊

My Endocrinologist gave me a bottle of Douglas Laboratories Pregnenolone Supplements after she had ran a batch of labs on me. It was found that I had low levels of DHEA and pregnenolone, as well as having low T. I’m in my mid-years; so it was expected that my levels were going to be a bit low. I started taking one tablet in the morning and after only a month, low and behold, I was starting to feel better than I had in a long time. I had more energy, I wasn’t falling asleep during the day, and I was able to do my daily workouts again. My doc ran the labs again after taking the full bottle of 60 tablets. My levels were higher than before. I was told it’s going to take a while to get my levels back to normal, but I can definitely tell its working. Douglas Laboratories supplements can be a bit pricey, but they are approved by my Doctor. I don’t normally spend the extra money for the higher end supplements, but for the first 60 days of taking this supplement, it has turned my life around.
Alpine Spirit –
This is the only sublingual 25 mg pregnenolone pill that I could find. Source Naturals had one and it dissolved appropriately and tasted good but they seem to have taken it off the market, at least temporarily. The Douglas 25 mg sublingual doesn’t completely dissolve. I put 3 in my mouth at bedtime (bad idea,I know) as my naturopath wants me to take 75 mg. Later I have this pithy white stuff in my mouth that doesn’t dissolve. I presume this is some kind of filler. All in all, I’m giving it a good score because it is the only sublingual 25 mg available and I truly appreciate it for that reason. Since this puffy stuff sometimes stays in my mouth most of the night, I was concerned about whether the ingredients might be bad for my teeth. I contacted Douglas Labs and they said they would get back with me but it seems they did not.

Talk to your doctor if you need…but, do some reading on Pregnenlone. It’s good for men and women. I am a 50 y/o man that takes this to elevate my DHEA and balance my hormones in the proper way. I find this much better than Testosterone Replacement Therapy was for me….granted, that is my situation and I am not T deficient. This gives you mental clarity and energy….from what I understand is a hormone precursor that declines after 30 and essentially works adaptogenically. My sister takes 100mg and said it is the first thing that has helped her feel good in years of frustration and expensive visits to naturopaths and MD’s

This is not a prescription but was recommended by a specialist gyn midlife doctor. I’m 65 and it has alleviated me feeling like my internal body was boiling all the time. The summer heat made me perspire just looking out the window and I’m an outside kind of girl that didn’t want to leave the AC. I’m so happy to say that I no longer wear summer clothes year round indoors and my body thermometer feels normal again.

It’s been 1 month I’ve been taking 1 capsule daily in the morning. I am 37 and I have noticed positive effects in my cognitive function, better memory and clear-mind. My physical appearance is more fit, improved muscular tone with moderate training. The effects are not huge but you do notice them. I would recommend it to men and I am re-ordering soon. I don’t know how it works on women.

still waiting for something to happen with this one, the one my natural path put me one was only 10 mg and felt like a weight was lifted off of me, with this one nothing. i feel no different.

Been using Andro Gel for the last 6 mnths started this after T level was 186 after 6 weeks my T level had dropped to 102 the Dr increased the dosage of andro gel to 10 grams per day after another 6 weeks we rechecked all hormone levels Because I suspected the the extra T was converting to Estrogen. The test came back and T level was up to 536 and I did not feel any different over all, maybe slight improvement.
How ever I had him check DHT level and it sky rocketed to 1762 almost 2 1/2 times higher then normal. I did some extensesive online research and found TRT therapy raises the undesireable DHT levels which can lead to prostate enlargement etc hair loss an mood swings.
I concluded that pregneolone taken sublingualy or the rub on creme might help reduce the bad side effects from the Andro Gel and ordered this particular product made by this company.
I started taking this supplement daily in the mourning combined with diet excercise and zinc supplmentation feb 14th and as of april 5 I had lost 25 lbs my total cholesterol dropped from 235 to 172 triglycerid level dropped to 186 and my T level increased to 886 and psa level only increased to .61 from .43
I wake up during the night and now find I have an erection which can last several hrs till I finaly awake in the mourning and find this fact quit refreshing since it has been yrs since this accured.
It also seems as thou that I have gained some length to my penis and my testicles are for me extremly larger but they no longer ach or feel tender like before I started using the pregneolone.
After my recent Dr visit He has decreased the dosage of Andro gel from 10grams per day to 8 grams. he feels 886 T level is to high and I no longer are taking any cholestrol medications.
I can’t discount the use of the pregneolone as I think it help to balance out all hormones and maybe increase the ones I needed and in time I hope I can stop using the Andro gel all together.
I have reordered another bottle of pregnenolone.At 53 yrs old I feel more like my old self at 30 all natural is the way to go
